Question about Televison & Video

TV was unused for a few months then was moved to my bedroom. 1st time turning it on in the bedroom the tv worked for about 30-45 mins and then the screen went out but sound worked. I tried looking for the backlight to be on in a dark room and even took the back panel off and cannot see that the lamp is on. Also I tried the flashlight on the screen and was not able to see an image. Not sure if I was doing it correctly though. The model number is LN46D630M3F Any help is appreciated.

Hey Brad. Thanks for the info. This part was for the power supply board amd it fixed the problem. Thanks so much for your help. It was an easy swap. If you can use a screwdriver you can replace the power supply board!

SOURCE: Lamp Light Red - No Screen Image

It could be the a problem with the lamp ballist circuit, or just a bad lamp socket, or simply a bad lamp. The only way to tell is to call out a servicer as that would be alot less expensive then to get a new lamp and then that not be the problem. These problems can be a little hair pulling at times, thats why i have no hair left!! LOL Good Luck

First off I think you meant Panasonic PT-51G44A which is an AP815 chassis. That unit has an all to common failure of the capacitor at C581 on the D board which is a 33uf/160v cap. Replace it and I think that will solve the problem..

SOURCE: i replaced the lamp,was working fine,2 days later turned on the tv,and nothing just a blank screen..sounds works but no itcher??took the lamp back out an all seems fine there?

Hi and welcome to fixya, it is the colour wheel problem,,,,,,,,,this is common problem please check it ...it may be also cathode ray tube... thank u.........

SOURCE: i have a samung LN52A750R1F tv. I just started to

probably a bad T-Con board. this board is the interface between the panel and main board. call 1-800-samsung for nearest service center.

I have a Mitsubishi model WD-60737 and to make a long story short 1st time problem lamp replaced fine for a month til my uncle hooked a DVD player to my TV next day turned on with solid green light then TV kept turning off after 2 to 3 minutes of beingetting turned on and a solid red light to show after. What does that mean? It's a brand new lamp and worked for a month so why shut down now? Could my uncle have did something to where it shook up the circuits or something?

You might want to check and see if that was the right lamp for that tv. You might have the wrong lamp

I have 2 alba tv/dvd combi's.1 in kitchen & 1 in bedroom.After digi switchover 1 in kitchen is fine after re tuning.The bedroom tv only has a few stations after numerous re tunes.Both work off

The one that does not work: have you tried to unplug it for a while from power and plug it back to see if it will reboot and allow you to program?

I have three tvs in my house all off the same ariel.The tv in lounge ok as is the one in 1st bedroom.In our bedroom keep losing signal, have had a booster fitted recently.

I expect the connections could be in need of attention. Check the point where they are connected via that booster. If you have a portable to test the bedroom and rule out the tuner in the bedroom TV?

Lcd tv shuts off by itself and then turns on by itself

philips tv turns itself off and on agianevery 10 mins roughly with a gap of a few mins before coming back on. only had a few months

I have had the same problem I have two bell receivers one in the bedroom and one in the living room, in low light the remote in the living room would work much like yours, but if I took the same remote into the bedroom it worked fine in low light, the second remote responded exactly the same, the problem in my situation was the TV had a light sensor that adjusts the picture depending on the light in the room, with this option turned off. The remote works just fine in low light situation.

Tivo HD displays ''hdmi connection not permitted''

This happened to me many times with my Sharp 40" LCD. I am actually running 2 tvs of of 1 HD Tivo. One in the bedroom with HDMI and then through the wall into my kitchen tv via Component. ( yes whatever is on in the bedroom plays in the kitchen).. So this AM my power dropped out for a few seconds then came back on. When the Tivo rebooted I got that " hdmi connection not permitted" message. In the past, I would just reboot everything and all would be ok.. But today I couldnt get the tv with the HDMI to display the programming. It would show the tivo menus, but when I tried to play anything or watch live tv, the message would pop up again. The kitchen TV with the components was working the whole time...
So finally I rebooted the Tivo one more time. But this time I left the HDMI cable unplugged from the Sharp in the bedroom untill the Tivo was fully booted and a live channel was playing in the kitchen. I then plugged the HDMI back into the bedroon TV, and it came back on. Im not saying this will work for you, But its worth a try

Color messed up on tv since lightning strike

your tv may have ben magnetized by the lightning strike.
tv's have an automatic degaussing circuit that demagnetizes
the pix tube when the set is turned on. this degaussing circuit
may not be working or magnetism may have been too strong for
the internal degaussing to correct.
contact local tv repair shop in your area see if they can manually
degauss your set , it should be a min. service charge around $25.
