Re: Where does the yellow wire hook to on spinsrub
Generally on car stereos, the yellow wire is connected to a constant source of 12 volts. This is used to power a clock or any other constant draw features.

If you have 3 wires hooked up to the indoor unit, you need to read the terminals to which they are hooked to. On the outdoor unit you need to see on the electrical print where the low voltage wires should go. However it is uncommon to have three wires, 2 wires is common..
For instance, on the furnace if Black is connected to Y terminal then black at the condenser would go to one side of the contactor. If Yellow is hooked to C terminal at furnace, the at outdoor unit Yellow wire would go to other side of contactor. If Blue is not Hooked to anything, tape it off.
your adapter should be color coded to the pioneer wiring, orange, red and yellow are power feeds for igntion, 12 key and lighting, veryify voltage on the orange and red wiring to the radion with key on, the yellow is for radio lighting with parking or headlight operation, some adapaters may not have all the wiring and you may have to splice around the adapter.
Constant 12V+
Orange
Switched 12V+
Yellow
Ground
Black
Illumination
Gray Here you go. This is listed for an 85 to 89 Impala, but should still hold true.
The yellow wire is most likely the memory wire as it needs to be connected to a constant 12 volt source.
"Hook red wire to to acc fuse" means you need to hook into the fuse block under an Accessory Fuse. (ie: something that can't be turned on unless the car is running or the key is in the "Accessory" position)
The red wire is explained above. It does not connect to the harness.
Just remember that the yellow wire needs to be hooked to a constant 12 volts and the red needs to be hooked to a circuit that is only active when the car is running or switched to the "ACC" position.
White is always neutral so I am going to say hook it to brown, unless you have another white wire.
Black on a motor is usually high speed, so hook it to black
Red is usually low speed to hook it to yellow. If you do not get
high speed then hook black to yellow and red to black
The yellow wire is the constant wire, you need to find the battery + wire which will be red and hooked that to your deck, the red wire is the main 12v wire and the yellow wire is there just to use a little bit of power to keep the memory i yur deck, i.e. the time, cd position stuff like that
try looking for the yellow wire from the cd player. find the wire that they connected it 2 and take it off. if they cut it 2 connect it 2 the yellow wire find the cut off bit and join original wire together. probly have to check the fuses.if not yellow wire mite b red. probly yellow tho.gud luck
Noooo, lol they should all have a seperate location, look at a wiring diagram from your factory speaker harness, or buy an adapter from scosche or something (available at wal-mart for like 7 bucks) to standardize them. And your speaker wire should not be hooked up to the ground EVER.
Black - Ground Red - 12V Yellow - Battery
The red and yellow may OCCASIONALLY be required to be at the same place, but i've only had to do this with a vehicle from the 60's.
The yellow wire goes to + (hot) 12 volt constant, red wire goes to ignition switch, Hook up your amp together with the red wire
(switched) and the amp will come on with the ignition switch.
Blue and white wire is for the power antenna.
