You did not post the model number but to reset a dishwasher, you unplug it or if it is wired directly, Locate the breaker that it is on and switch the breaker off for a couple of minutes. There should be a service guide attached to the unit in a folder or bag
Testimonial: "I did reset at the breaker and now it is beeping that door open. I have replaced the latch 2 times in about a year. The last time was about 2weeks ago. It is acting like that is the issue again. Is there a reason the latch would keep dying? Model:gdf520pgj2ww"
I would be concerned also. There could be several reasons for the failure. One is poor engineering and you have no control over that. It could also be the door is out of alignment and is hitting the latch improperly and causing premature failure. The third reason would be poor manufacturing processes in the making of the switch. Look for wear patterns and make sure that the door is not sprung from having weight on it when it is open. Best of luck
Thank you for your help. Replacement may be the best thing.
Judging from the amount of sales of that part, I would say it is a common problem with that model.
