My gas heater pilot is lit and stays lit, but soon as the burner comes on, the pilot goes out, and within a few seconds, the burner shuts down. What would cause that?

Sounds like the pressure regulator isn't recovering when the burner comes on.

Why won't my patio heater light

The thermocouple has to be in contact with the flame at all times when pilot is lit, this heats up and sends mill-volts back to the safety valve to keep the gas on, if not it won't let the gas through, otherwise you need to clean the pilot or replace the thermocouple if everything else is ok..

I have a nexgrill propane patio heater the pilot light works but when i turn it to lo or high after a minute or so the pilot light stays on but the burner wont light

Heater will not light pilot consistently - although I did get the pilot to light a few times and got the burner to light once, but the burner stopped after a few seconds. The pilot does stay lit. I presume...

Patio heater ignites and stays lit with pilot. Then goes out.

Press and hold for 60 seconds and then it should stay lit (this is a safty feature on most models!)

Heater goes out after 10 to 30 seconds.

sounds like a blocked pilot when you turn on the main gas takes the gas away from the pilot and goes out

Outdoor patio heater won't stay lit

I'm told by Charmglow that the problem is the Thermocouple. iHowever,it took me several calls to get someone to admit this. They are sending a new thermocoupler. My heater is less than a year old and under warranty--but it's a shame things like this happen.

Originally I was told it could'nt be the thermocoupler as they normally last at least 5 years.

Try it--as it may solve your problem as well.

Nexgrill patio heater won't stay lit

I called Nexgrill technical support at 1-800-913-8999. They are sending me a new thermo couple to keep the valve open when ignited - so the patio heater will stay on. I needed to give them the serial number (inside the propane tank door) and fax them a copy of the receipt.

Pilot and burners

You need to check a couple of things, first is the flame sensor, second is the thermostat. Without anymore detailed info this is the most I can give you.
