Just bought a SIP Medusa T951 generator, do I need to ground it with a spike? It does suggest it in the manual but doesn't come with one

Yes! All generators should be grounded. If they are not it can create static around the generator and in the tank which could cause an explosion.

Also if there is a fault in the alternator or wiring it can make the Generator itself a live feed. Resulting in electrocution if someone touches the generator. We have seen this more than once.

In the states, a portable generator that supplies ONLY equipment mounted on the generator and/or cord and plug-connected equipment THROUGH RECEPTACLES MOUNTED ON THE GENERATOR do not require bonding to a grounding electrode.

While the below is not an eclipse, it is suggestive.

The only requirement needed for running your "E" or "F" series Engel Fridge - Freezer (The later Models) on a 240 volt generator is to ensure the generator you are using is A.V.R. Automatic Voltage Regulated. Please refer to your generators user manual. If it is an older generator with A.V.R., it doesn't hurt to add an in line spike protector or surge arrestor.

Still medusa is the only place where you can get the info. Only e-mail send to a real mail address provided by medusa, will arrive there. All other mail addresses won't.
Are you sure this medusa is not a name used with phishing?

first did you polarize your generator ? you must do this other wise your generator can discharge rather than charge , second if your voltage regulator is bad ,and yes you can get a bad one right out of the box it will not charge and when it sits it will dis charge you can check your regulator by using a volt meter unplug your voltage regulator one lead to ground one lead to your plug if there is any more than .5 dc volts your regulator is bad ,but more than likely your generator needs to be polarized or it will not charge,any early service manual will cover how to do it

Interesting. They haven't used generators in over 50 yrs.
But yes that was the warning light for the generator.
If you have a volt meter that would tell you what the system is doing.
If the engine will not crank, and the battery is fully charged, you would need to check the connections at the starter for voltage and ground.
And the red warning lights would normally come on until the engine starts.

On exercise it isn't under load, you may have too much gas pressure, have the gas pressure and fuel/air ratio checked on the mixer

Hi There, we've bought a SX62 Baumr-AG chain saw. On page 8 of the instruction manual - Point 3: "Install the attached spike to the power unit" - there is no diagram that refers to this...

I have just bought one and the manual is hopeless but finally I figured it out. If you have installed the chain and guide you will need to remove them, then with the saw lying on the side and chain cover off you will see two holes on opposite side of the oil tank/engine casing
This photo shows the spike in position.

my moen garbage disposal is leaking out the bottom where there is 4 screws coming out the bottom, the threads are exposed out the bottom, one screw is leaking only when the disposl is on.
