Clicking sound is overheat at the compressor. There is a device called a Clixon that is cutting and restarting. Remove covers and clean the condenser grill with a vacuum cleaner and brush.

The freezer is running but will not get cold enough to freeze food.

Sounds like you need to get the engineer out. If not getting cold its a manufacturers problem

Freezer motor clicks on but then clicks right off again

Make sure the condenser coil is clean and the fan works (if not replace it) If those are ok probably the compresor relay is bad (no more than $30) and after you replaced the relay ,if still the compresor won't start the problem is the compressor itself.

Chest freezer motor runs but the inside doesn't get cold

Sounds like you have a bad compressor or it has lost the gas charge.

Freezer temp

Coolant is leaking (because it is probably old), so you might want to get a repair person to get some more coolant, or you could just buy a new Freezer.

Kenmore 23.1 cf Chest Freezer not cooling below 14F

Make sure everything is working, I.E. compressor, fans. Now I need to know if the freezer shuts off at 14 degrees, or does it continue to run without making temp. If it shuts off, then the first place to look is the thermostat. It may be out of calibration. If it continues to run, then the solution may be as simple as cleaning the condenser coil. or the defrost has malfunctioned somehow. Defrost probleams will cause excess ice on the inside coil. You may need to remove the panels to see how much ice is on it. It sounds like the compressor is good, as it is pretty cold. Just not cold enough. A deep freeze should be at least 0.
