Cause 1: A blocked defrost drain is one of the most common causes. This happens when food particles or other debris clog up the drain hose, which can lead to ice buildup and, eventually, water leaking out of the freezer and refrigerator. ... Clean the valve out with hot water and soap, and reinstall the valve.

Thanks for the reminder. The evaporator drain had been addressed in the past and will be checked. Today the door is releasing internal ice. After replacing the intermittent fan motor, will be checking the door gasket.

I have a top freezer that drips water in front of the refrigerator door. Could it be bad gaskets?

If it drips down the front surface of the door, it could be two things. Either the gasket to the freezer isn't sealing properly or the heater in the door frame has failed. It should feel just warm.

Leaks inside are a blocked or partially blocked defrost drain.

Frigidaire frost free upright freezer door corner dripping

Hello Yellow, thank you for your post!

I understand that your Frigidaire freezer is dripping water out of the corner of the door. It is possible that with your power going out the heat may have caused the gasket to warp. Do you see any frost build-up? The water that is dripping could be coming from condensation within the freezer. I would recommend checking the gasket to see if it is allowing warm air to enter the freezer.

I recommend that you visually inspect the door gasket for defects such as gaps or tears. You can also use a dollar bill to test the door gasket. Place a dollar bill in between the door and the body of the freezer. If the dollar bill pulls out with no to little resistance, you may need to replace the door gasket. A faulty door gasket can allow warm air to enter the compartment and cause frost to condensation or a leak. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

The freezer door leaks water from the water/ice dispenser. The dispenser fills up with water. Items in the freezer door almost seem as if they never freeze. All items in the door are much less frozen...

Leaky dispenser-------
Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just drips after use.

Water is slowly dripping onto the floor from the bottom of the freezer door. it is as if the door is full of water. any suggestions?

ARe the temperatures good inside the freezer? If they are not near 0° F, that is the cause of the water drip.

If it is nice and cold in freezer, check freezer floor, is there a sheet of ice? you have a clogged defrost drain, clear it or have it cleared for you.

Good temps no ice on freezer floor? possible water leak inside door from water dispenser

Frig has water dripping from freezer door

the coils are frozen up from condensation due to leaky door seals and/or a plugged drain. turn it off, defrost it with a hair dryer, check the seals and the drain (under the coils), and turn it back on.

I have a top freezer model and every morning their is a small pool of water in front on the floor. I checked the bottom tray in the back and drip tube and they seem to be ok. I noticed in the door that...

These doors are not water cooled. Is there water in the drip pan? Likely not and the drain is froze over with ice. you will have to remove the rear panel inside the freezer and clean the drain. There is most likely ice under the freezer floor that needs removed also. Take your time and do not damage the styrofoam separator and air channels.

Water Freezing in bottom of Freezer and dripping out front of freezer door

this could either be a blocked drain from the freezer not allowing defrost water to escape or the defrost heater failing to turn on due to a faulty defrost heater or defrost timer not enabling the water to escape

Frige has water dripping in from freezer

Hi, Check the door seal.

Ice is often caused by warm, moist air getting into the freezer and condensating, then freezing.
