How do you remove the drain hose from the Amana washing machine its not on the outside with a clamp its going into the back of the machine model NTW5240TQO

hello. The existing drain hose is a friction fit held in place with a wire clamp. Use a pair of channel locks or pliers to slide the wire clamp about 6 inches up the hose and then work it off of the fitting it is attached to. If it has been there for a long time you will find it useful to warm up the drain hose with a hair blow dryer. Regards, Joe

its on a barbed plastic fitting on the machine, the hose gets hardened from toe waste water going through it over the years, take a serrated knife or hacksaw blade and cut a **** lengthwise on old hose,be careful not to cut into machine fitting when doing so tho

change it if kenmore/whirlpool lean it back remove 2 clips and 2 hose clamps..if maytag 3 bolts hose clamps and belt.. if amana go buy new washer

You need to remove the two screws that hold the front panel in place. Remove the hose from the drain pump and pull it out through the back of the machine. You will need to release the clip that holds the hose in place where it exits the back of the washer. Important. When installing the new hose, ensure that you put it back in the clamps inside the machine or it will get caught in the pulley.
