Clean the outside radiator (condensor coil) for free air flow thru it. Any tech person will clean coils before diagnosing. This a maintenance item.

It could be because the door is open.
mostly the fan motor does not run then so try closing he door well. There are numerous reasons, It could also be caused by frozen evaporator coils, leaky refrigerator hoses, a heavy crowded freezer, a broken or malfunctioning thermostat or a clogged defrost drain.

In the freezer side there is a panel in the back. behind the panel are the evaporators. over the evaporators are heaters you will find one of then broken from water dropping on it the bottom one was broken on mine. put a fan to the freezer and thaw it out. get the model and serial numbers and look on ebay.com. or there is a place called http://www.repairclinic.com/
These are not hard to change but above all UNPLUG THE FRIG OR THEY MAY PUT YOU IN ONE.

Kenmore elite - Water dripping from freezer to refrigerator

Your refrigerator has a defrost drain blockage behind the evaporator in your your freezer compartment. Some models like yours have leak in the turns as the water leaves the freezer. I recommend that you unplug and remove the cover to the evaporator and check the defrost condensate tray below the evaporator. A wet vacuum cleaner and poring a solution with clorox in the drain will help you clean locate the leak and where the blockage may be downline.. I do have the manual on yours and can help you solve this. Some times this is a factory defect and I can help you solve the freezing drain problem. Let me know, Sea Breeze

Freezer stopped freezing

It is possible that the fanmotor in the freezer compartment is faulty which would cause a freeze up and prevent the air from circulating.

Items in the back of the refrigerator freeze.

is this something that has just started happening? Most kenmore top freezers have a vent that allows cold air from the freezer into the refrig through a vent located on the back wall in the center of the refrig section. if packages are pushed up under this vent they can freeze.

If you have widespread freezing in the refrig setion then a temperature control could be the fault. thanks for using fixya. Peyton..
