Attempt to restore camera electronics to factory defaults. If you cannot do so, contact Samsung tech support for assistance/input. If they cannot help they you have a dilemma/ replace or repair? But if not an expensive camera the choice is clear.
Many digital cameras (eg Samsung D53, Nikon 2100) have extremely poor battery life with alkaline batteries (under 20 shots!). Sometimes they won't even take a single picture.
