1:A License key for my CAD CAM CAE software, unNAMED."autocad" old?

2:any silly thing hanging off USB port , new name endless 10,000 things, not told yet.

top: wifi dongle, Ethernet dongle, sound dongle, mine is very good sound DAC, EXTREME USING COAX OUT. AND 9000 MORE. EVEN CAMERA DONGLES,

    file a police report
    "I lost my dongle"
and they will laugh at you all day long.
end the usage of that silly word
    or add one more nouns
I list my USB to wifi adapter (dongle ouch)
or tell what it did before lost.

    young writers are so clueless:
    https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/a...

best is not to use the that word at all.
    DONGLE.
tell what it is, only , avoid that silly word.
my USB device X, what is X?

the folks not alive in 1980s did not ever see
    the first gongles,
the software then came with a printer port 25pin license key, and if present, allowed the high end software to run, CAD.

    wiki nails it,
The dongle is named after Don Gall who was a software engineer at DEC where he invented the dongle. DEC basically stole his idea, so he left DEC and worked with Paul Allen for a little while before Allen helped start up Microsoft. Don Gall, sadly, was killed in a boating accident in the late '90s. Just some trivia:

Digital Equipment corp. like a PDP-8 computer then.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Softw...
worked back then and used that .

here is the REAL dongle from back then
and thus how the name was used .
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_p...

so as you can see it is best not to use that name unless you can run 16bit software.
    not me but you"?

seen my me only on CAD software (1990?)
    RIP DONGLE, end it now.

If you're referring to the dongle used with a wireless mouse or keyboard, I believe you have to buy a new setup. The same would apply with a wireless adapter.

I LOST THE USB DOGGLE FOR MY GE MINI WIRELESS OPTICAL MOUSE 9879 CAN I DOWNLOAD DRIVERS OR SETUP INSSTALLATON AND SAVE IT TO A FLASH DRIVE. THANKS, ADAM WOLFE

No, that dongle was a radio transmitter / receiver, not just a flash drive.
It's the equivalent of losing the base for a wireless phone. Without the base, the phone is useless.

My laptop which has windows 7 on it does not recognize mmy dongle

there is an update for windows 7 and dongles at the husqvarna viking website.

From Husqvarna Viking website -

When installing the 4D Embroidery System onto Windows 7 computers, the dongle drivers may not initially work correctly, as the 4D Embroidery System installs a set of dongle drivers which were created before Windows 7.
Download and install the latest dongle drivers prior to installing the 4D Embroidery System. Failure to do this, may result in the "Dongle driver not found (E0009)" when you try to open the 4D modules.
Please follow the steps below to install the latest dongle drivers BEFORE installing the 4D Embroidery System
  1. Download and install the latest Dongle Drivers.
  2. Insert your 4D Dongle.
  3. Install your 4D Embroidery System software (and all updates).
  4. Open your 4D Embroidery System software to confirm that your dongle is working correctly.
If you installed the 4D Embroidery System software before installing the latest dongle drivers and if you experience problems such as the error message "Unable to start hasplms service..."; download and install the latest Dongle Drivers.

Husqvarna Viking - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

If you are still unable to get it to work, visit your local authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer. Most stores have staff who are eager to help but you might want to call for an appointment

Good luck..

Intermittent loss of internet cnnection.Very annoying!

Sounds like it might be a bad USB dongle causing the problem. Have you tried another USB port on your computer to rule out a faulty dongle?

The other problem might be a faulty CAT-5 cable. Make sure that the cable is not be stepped on or rolled over by a chair. It is very easy to break the wires inside the cable and still get connections off and on.

Check these solutions and let me know your results.

Cheers,

Keith
