Why is there a buzzing sound when i hook my speakers up?

The buzzing sound may be due to various reasons. The most common reason is the electrical ground loop. It may also be due to frequency interference or due to any software issue, such as driver corruption.

If the radio is powered on, put a cd in, or make sure you are on a known good radio station and connect a speaker directly to one of the pairs of speaker wires on the radio. let us know if there is still just static.

The 3 front speakers have started to buzz. When I unplug them in moves to the rear 2 speakers. I orginally thought it was the speakers so I got new ones, same problem. Not sure if it is my reciever getting...

This is a grounding issue either between pieces of equipment or inside the receiver itself.
There are other possible causes, but this will almost always be a grounding issue.
I recommend unplugging everything and hooking it up piece by piece till the buzz return to isolate the issue.
IE - start with nothing but the receiver and speakers hooked up. Turn on the radio. If the speakers buzz, the receiver has an issue and needs to be repaired or replaced.

If there's no buzz, hook up the DVD player. If the buzz returns, there's some issue between the DVD and the receiver....
If the buzz hasn't returned, hook up the.....<insert name of next piece of equipment here>
you get the idea.

The buzzing may be filter capacitors in the power supply or in the output amp of the sub.

Sound went out on tv, picture is find but sound is now a buzzing static noise.

You either have a problem with your sound ic or you have blown your speaker have you been trying to hook up speakers to your set

I have a Pioneer Gm-x722, and i hooked it up to 2 6x9 speakers and two 6.5" speakers and I get a buzzing sound, how to I clear up the buzzing?

try grounding the shield of the rca cables and see if the buzzing goes away. if so you have a bad ground to the rcas either in the deck or the amp. grounding the rca cable shield should take care of the problem.

There may be some sort of electrical device like a mobile phone or something that is near the base unit of the speakerset... try clearing the space around them.. or else it might be cuz of a loose connection... check n reseat all the cables & hopfully the problem will sort out...

Vizio Speaker Making a Buzzing Noise

My 32" vizio I bought a week ago does the same things.

Buy an external sound system for the tv. Turn the speakers off in the TV menu. Hook the sound system up to the out speaker hookups on the tv.

You will not only have better found, you will fix the speaker buzz problem.

Check your leads, chances are it's a faulty/dodgy lead coming from your macbook to the system.

Distortion/noise and buzz in front left speaker

Try to see if the reciever will make the buzzing/noise without anything connected to it except power, and speakers. Tune into a local radio station and see if the noise continues. If the noise has stopped, then you know there is an issue with the player or cable.
