Model shows at top it is Mitsubishi WS-55859 rear projection TV and it seems its green picture tube is weak in result.
Qualified tv tech can increase green picture tube gain, if picture tube has worth for, to maintain colors in this TV.
Since its an old TV so I do not think green picture tube is available as replacement, if required so new TV would better option.

SOURCE: Color problems!
if it caves in INTERMITTENTLY and you have a 3d effect you may have problem with convergence. you would need to resolder or replace convergence ics. STK392-570.
you would need to have some king od skill soldering and
unsoldering parts.let me know if you need more info.
if you take the speaker grill and the wood board behing it,(4-6)screws you will see the board in the center, big metal heatsink.
you would need work from the back in you want to replace them.

SOURCE: panasonic PT-61LCX65 tv has color spots
if you mean color spots size of a dime or so.
if you mean little ones as little dots (a neddle punshing) red and blue but always there:
as you see the light engine is the main part here, IT is expensive repair. so if you can survive with those little dots do it.
IF it is dust, is good idea asking for and estimate to see if can works.
SOURCE: the picture in my tv has gone to a green blue
yeah i can help you need a new picture tube and they can be expensive for a 60in
Could you show a picture of the distended cover you mentioned?
Were the light blue lines you were referring to, diagonal, or truly horizontal?
