Model shows at top it is Mitsubishi WS-55859 rear projection TV and it seems its green picture tube is weak in result.
Qualified tv tech can increase green picture tube gain, if picture tube has worth for, to maintain colors in this TV.
Since its an old TV so I do not think green picture tube is available as replacement, if required so new TV would better option.

SOURCE: Color problems!

if it caves in INTERMITTENTLY and you have a 3d effect you may have problem with convergence. you would need to resolder or replace convergence ics. STK392-570.
you would need to have some king od skill soldering and
unsoldering parts.let me know if you need more info.
if you take the speaker grill and the wood board behing it,(4-6)screws you will see the board in the center, big metal heatsink.
you would need work from the back in you want to replace them.

SOURCE: panasonic PT-61LCX65 tv has color spots

if you mean color spots size of a dime or so.

  • easiest: it is dust in some step of the projection light path.
  • hardest: the light engine could be damage
if you mean little ones as little dots (a neddle punshing) red and blue but always there:
  • condition call it: pixels always on: light engine is the reason.
as you see the light engine is the main part here, IT is expensive repair. so if you can survive with those little dots do it.
IF it is dust, is good idea asking for and estimate to see if can works.

My LCD projection tv(KF-50E200A) displays projection lamp week when switched ON and out of red color display on the screen. Is this will happen if the projection lamp is week?

no and yes
the lamp warning is to alert you that a timer has expired that clocks the approximated life of the lamp in "hours of use".
it is never accurate and is dependent on whether or not it was reset the last time a lamp was replaced.
reset the lamp timer in the users "setup" menu.

the lamp has NOTHING to do with color, it only provides light.

check the connections between the TV and cable/satelite box...the red.green.blue component connector...the red one is likely loose.
if this does not correct you color problem, your optical engine has failed.
very expensive repair, not for the DIY type guy.

What causes the picture to have a green tint

there are 3 color cathode in your TV red, green, blue cathode. The red and blue cathode might not working in your set that is why you have a green screen. Open the back cover of your TV you can immediately see the 3 cathode lamp at the back. Clean the lamp first using a clean clothe. Power up you tv and see whether the 3 lamps are lit. If lamps do not light up,check the circuit board where this lamp is connected re-solder all the components in this lamp. There is also an individual screen adjustment for the lamps it is located at the front panel and labeled RGB screen...try this first and let me know how it goes..

I have a toshiba 65hm167 no red color on the screen

Your TV is a DLP one lamp does it all, not like the old projection TVs with the Red, Green & Blue CRTs. Your TV may have a bad light engine or lose cable connections.

Good luck

Turns green and shuts off

I had an electrician come over. He pulled out the bulb that was dead (for me it was the color that was flashing before it would turn off) and now I have a blue and green TV with no red. He said that the only way to fix it is to replace the red lamp with a new one.
