page 8 in your tool manual states
this memory capacity is powered by one coin cell
battery that is included with the charger/radio
page 9 even shows how to remove it.
    https://www.manualslib.com/manual/903134...

    same page tells you
When replacing battery, replace it with the same or equivalent type
    CR2032
same is used on vast PCs yes.
even walfart sell them , in the watch department or in car section has them for
    automotive KEYFOB batteries.
sold on ebay for a buck or 10 for buck out of china. endless.

I did all that in 5min reading the manual, RTM.
google finds it in 1second flat.

My guess though it that it is a CR2032 battery available from Walmart for $5. Look on the top of it.

NO need to guess RTM and it clearly tells this.
I read manuals first then guess.

Good one Larry. I didn't think of the manual myself, I was looking at parts schematic. First I had to find what a 'DCR215' was. I wonder why people think we know these model numbers and never quantify it with a MAKE! Some, especially in the Cars category don't supply any details, 'My steering pump broke, where can I get one and how to replace it'.

What's your problem?what doe's the coin battery do

the coin battery as you referred to it as is called the cmos battery and it is responsible for the systems memory so things like time, date and bios settings best ensure that it is in good working order to avoid unnecessary problems it may be replaced with other batteries of the same type cr 2032 (3 volt) hope this helps

How to change battery on asrock k7s8x motherboard

A coin-cell battery (CR2032) usually powers the real-time clock and CMOS memory. The battery is 3 Volts, 3/4" in diameter and has an estimated life of three years. When the computer is plugged in, the standby current from the power supply extends the life of the battery.
Just open the desktop, locate the CMOS (Coincell) and remove using screw driver. Replace the battery with CR2032 or an equivalent one.The following brands are used interchangeably for this item: Energizer (ECR2032), Duracell, Panasonic, Eveready, and 3M etc, which can be purchased from any local electronics store.

GoodLuck!
Dont forget to appreciate the solution if I could have been of any help!

On my samsung sc-d353 mini digital cam, what are my options for a battery replacement or charger? It looks as though it has a slot for a nickel shaped battery.

I found both batteries and chargers for this camera by searching Amazon for "Samsung SC-D353 battery".

The coin sized battery will be for memory back-up (keep the date and settings and power the clock).

Acer laptop wont turn on has power button light up

This is a common problem with Acer units, both desktop and laptop. The motherboard fails to read the system BIOS at startup. Removing the battery from a laptop merely removes the power source, but not the stored memory. If you are able to locate the CMOS battery, or the cell battery the size of a US quarter dollar, that is the system battery. Remove that, wipe with a lint free cloth (coffee filter) then replace.

If that effort fails upon replacing the cleaned CMOS battery and laptop eneregy source, then a new coin cell may be the solution.

If a new coin cell fails to resolve the problem, the motherboard itself is the culprit. Time for a new laptop or desktop.

Hope this helps you...

Lost system password

Only way to remove a BIOS password on any computer is to remove all power sources from the motherboard so its memory can be cleared.

First, remove the main battery from the laptop. Then you must locate and find the little coin cell battery (It looks like a watch battery) on the laptop and remove it for about a minute or so. Then you can replace them in the opposite order.

Your coin cell battery is in a bay on the bottom of your computer. Enjoy!
1. Before removing the coin battery:
2. Locate the memory module cover on the bottom of the system.

4. Lift and remove the cover from the system.

5. Locate the coin battery.

6. Use a fingernail (or small flathead screwdriver, if necessary) to release the battery ZIF connector.

8. Reverse the previous steps to replace the coin battery.
