non-existent customer service

A plumber installed this in our new house and there was no hot water. He checked the supply lines and they are fine. The bath and sink are fine, so it is just the shower that is the problem. There is no answer or call back from Moorefield, no response from Lowe's, no FAQs or trouble-shooting, nor any way to get cartridges, nor any support whatsoever. Ridiculous.
I would take the cartridge apart and hope it is just a worn o-ring. Buy some water pump grease and reassemble with new o-rings. It does appear to be a Lowes brand, so they should support it. I would phone head office.

What should I do to fix this problem?

Then you have a leak, as to the location that is difficult to say without leak testing under a special rain shower simulator.

Water leaks shere showerhead joins the shower stem

when reconnecting the shower head to the pipe coming from the wall..

did you use some pipe tape, pro dope or another type of joining compound?

this seems likely to be the problem.. if you don't have any on hand, visit a hardware store and ask their staff for pipe tape for plumbing and you should be pointed into the right direction.

Moen Bath Tub Faucet

Hi varn4620,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: You had to replace the faucet in the tub due to a broken plastic piece in valve stem. Bought a Moen ripped the wall out and put new faucet in. Went good untill we turned the water on and the shower rained on us. Tightened everything you could find to tighten .Every time the water is turned on the shower rains. Can this be fixed or is the faucet broken?

Is this new faudet a single handle? If so I"ve had this experience also. Most of the time it's because the guts were not lined up properly at the factory. You may have to play with it a bit.
Turn off the water and take the handle off and remove the sleave, remove and rotate the guts. Try 90' at a time. Turn water on to try it. Useually one of the other 3 positions will be right. The correct position is there, but it may take time to find it.
