Kitchenaid Side-By-Side not getting cold

Craigslist Kitchenaid side-by-side kscs25inss00 has been plugged in for about 28 hours. Freezer is icy, but the refrigerator is not getting cold.Thermostat beeps twice followed by clicking. Cycle repeats every 2 seconds. The clicking is from the damper door, already fully closed, trying to close. The motor works; I've manually opened the door and watched the motor close it. What do I do?

SOURCE: Refrigerator door won't stay closed

Pull on the gaskets some times they are broken and will take up moore room that when correctly aligned. especially on the side of the door where the hinges are. Inspect thehinges also see of brackets are loose. If the gasket is bunched up on the hinge side try duct taping them down and retry the door. If this corrects problem replace door gaskets. If a plastic grommet is missing in the door it will nolt align correctly and you will be able to pick up on the outer corner of the door and it will wobel and be loose on the hinge. ReplACE THE GROMETS and retest and align as nessary.

SOURCE: Refrigerator Door won't stay closed

The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.

Part 12 on this diagram is your cam. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getSubComp.pd?modelNumber=KSRB27FHSS02&productCategoryId=0165000&brandId=0593&modelName=SIDE-BY-SIDE-REFRIGERATOR&diagramPageId=00006&componentDescription=REFRIGERATOR%20DOOR&documentId=O2030395&backToLink=Return%20to%20Sub%20Components%20list

How do I adjust doors on KSCS25INSS00?

The doors are supposed to be offset by the thickness of a quarter. To adjust, use a 5/16" or adjustable wrench to adjust the bolt at the bottom hinge of either door. The doors should be closed when you do this. To raise the height, turn the bolt to the right. To lower it, turn the bolt to the left.

Sears Parts Direct has the manuals for the KSC25INS00 here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/installation-guide/2nnzp1gmgc-000593/kitchenaid-kscs25inss00-side-by-side-refrigerator-parts . See page 9 of the Installation Guide for the information on the door height adjustment. The current link to this manual is https://c.searspartsdirect.com/pd-content/is/content/Sears/L0406508 .

I hope this helps.

I have a Kitchenaid S x S KSCS25INSS00 refrig/freezer. We lost power for 30 hours, it worked fine before the outage, now it won't cool the fridge below 48 degrees, or the freezer below 43 degrees. ...

Try replacing the circulating fan first. If it's not turning, it's more than likely bad. However, the fan might not be your only problem. The problem may lie with the icemaker. The icemaker is essentially the brain of the unit. It tells when to cool, when to defrost and when to maintain temp. Your icemaker may be stuck in defrost mode.

My freezer keeps defrosting. I have tried unplugging it and plugging it in and turning down the temperature but it still continues to go into the defrost cycle or not work the fan completely turns off in...

i think that what you call the defrost is just the compressor not running so it warms . a defrost cycle does turn the heaters on for about 28 min and then goes baci into cold cycle . so if compressor is not running enough look for bad relay on compressor or bad control board that keep thins in ck .. mm

Not getting cold, freezer freezes food but refrigerator cool..

The fridge gets it cold air from the freezer. There is like an air tunnel that goes from the freezer (usually in the back) to your fridge to provide cold air.

What probably happened it the tunnel is blocked with ice or another liquid. The easiest thing to do is unplug the fridge for 24 hour so the ice can melt.

Sounds like the defrost timer is not working. There is an approx. 1/2 inch white round shaft with a hole in the middle somewhere either inside the refr. section or on the front bottom frame. If you stick a screwdriver in it and turn it clockwise until it clicks, the compressor will shut off and go into defrost. If it doesn't come on after about an hour, then turn it until it starts. Mark it to see if it turns. It should do one rotation either every day or twice a day. If it's not turning you need a new timer. Cheap and easy.

Freezer is working fine but no cold air getting to the upper area

If freezer is cold then you are not getting air flow to the frig side. Check your air flow setting It is the one next to the thermostat. If in doubt ,just set both controls to the middle setting and check in an hour or so.

HI, simply replacing the thermostat and air diffuser assembly will fix this cold control issue you are experiencing.

Freezer side of 690 does not work (not even cool); refrigerator side works just fine.

Check the fan in the freezer department. It has to run when the door i closed. Sometimes the door switch is bad. This causes the freezer coils to ice up so the cold air does not go through the coil to cool the freezer. Unplug the power cord for 1 hour or two hours. Then plug the cord in and see if the freezer gets cold.

First off is the water filter bad and or do you have one...if not and it is good...then you have pretty much diagnosed the problem correctly...as you said the old Ice maker gears turn and when they make a complete revolution they engage a trigger which signals the water solenoid to dispense water to the ice maker...another test is to fill the ice maker manually and see if it freezes (test the temp of the freezer...if it is not cold enough the ice maker will not work)...if ice is made (generally under 4 hours ) and it is not dumped...you need to replace the Ice maker...around $30 to $50depnding on brand and where you buy it...I shop Marcones Appliance parts the appliance repairman's friend...good quality cheap prices.

Good Luck I hope this helped...please rate me ...the Fang.
