Electric cars and electric vehicle types still count for a drivers license.

  • Anonymous Jul 23, 2020

connie why in the world post this to computer fix help? and not law enforcement pages.

I guess you meant on public roads?
NO car told, no country told no road told.
    strike 3 you are out?
    1,2,3 easy but you failed.
there are 7 + countries that allow this.see?

Call your DVM in your country and ask.
no better way to get correct answers exits.
we can no do your job for you go there ask.
In my state USA the car and persons license are linked directly and if insurance lapsed (it too is direct linked) they warm me of loss of license here. but that is me not you, see.
no car , no country no road stated, at all.
    now:
    case in point, Georgia USA.
just a written test drivers lic. due to Kungflu. (and prior guilt , ask)

    poof.

    why post lacking COUNTRY
and if using public roads there?
the world is huge place and so far, (TG) no universal world wide laws yet,
why not ask the DVM in your town, even call them omg simple..
    DVM =department of motor vehices.
are you in India, USA< Africa, new Zealand, Australia or UK, for sure speaks English, where are you, in the USA laws very by STATE.
    so there is that.

the correct place here (fixya) to post is here
    not computers
    https://www.fixya.com/troubleshoot/brows...

    see that Law topic?

  • Anonymous Aug 08, 2020

on public roads?, you never said that .
NO car stated, no country no state told now what road, nor if a commercial license.
UPS runs local electric cart here, with special licenses (delivery)
in usa we have some vehicles not allowed on the freeway/turnpike, drivers lic;.be danged.
The vehicle must be fully road worthy.
    lights/brakes/power/safety equip.

in General yes, (ask the DMV not here, see?)
but fixya is not the world wide authority on any laws. period... laws vary by ALL REGIONS on earth.
NO COUNTRY STATED or even the STATE or province.

  • Anonymous Aug 08, 2020

    what car ?
    what road name one.?
    what country.?
    no clues yet, just "car"

An electric car, like any other car, requires a driver's license. From a legal point of view, they differ only in that they have different motors, so they are designed a little differently, but all the same as a vehicle. That is, if you have an electric car, a hybrid car or a car with an internal combustion engine, then you need a driver's license. A driver's license is not required only when driving some low power mopeds. And then, there are some nuances that must be observed. If you want to learn more about this topic, you can visit https://myev.online . On this forum, people with electric vehicles discuss various problems that they have encountered.

Since you have a suspended license, you must not drive.

Follow the procedure to pay for your fines and recover your car when you are able. Since you cannot drive it, that requires a friend or relative to help you drive it once it is recovered.

Can't remember my drivers license number and need to renew my license

Hi Georgina:
Odds are pretty good that your local motor vehicle licence agency will have your number on file. Also, if you have any vehicles registered in your name, your drivers licence number will usually be on the registration.
Hope this helps.
Best of luck.

My licence has expired. ive continued to pay my insurance throughout, but have i broke any law ?

You haven't broken any law as long as you aren't driving. But it depends on where you live. You need to find out what the law in your area states about owning/insuring a vehicle if your license has expired or been revoked. But if you are still driving with an expired license then you are definately breaking the law no matter where you live.

How to pass the driving license exam

  • Familiarize yourself with the driver's license exam and the exam content. Be sure to pick up a copy of the driver's license review booklet for your state. This booklet will contain information about taking the driver's license exam as well as content information. Most driver's license review booklets will also contain information about driving laws and rules that you will need to learn in order to do well on the driver's license exam the first time.

  • Study for the written test. Even longtime drivers may not remember all of the specific driving rules and laws for their state. Any prospective driver will have to study long and hard in order to learn all of the applicable rules and laws. If you don't pass the written portion of your driver's license exam, you can't pass the exam as a whole. Be sure to spend plenty of time studying and quizzing yourself on the information before you go to take the test.

  • Practice your driving skills and techniques for the driving portion of the driver's license exam. You can obtain information about the specific driving skills you will need to demonstrate on this portion of the exam from the driver's license review booklet for your state. Get in a car with a licensed driver, such as your parent, and practice these skills. Make sure that you can do all of these skills smoothly while following applicable driving rules and regulations. If you have difficulty performing any of these driving tasks, continue to practice until you can do them perfectly before you go to take the driver's license exam for the first time.

  • Consider taking a driving training course. You can take such courses in person in a classroom setting or by using a book, video tape or DVD. Many of these in person driving training courses also contain behind the wheel training so you can get comfortable with your driving techniques and skills on the road. All of the available training courses will help you learn and review your state's driving laws and rules, which will help you pass your driver's license exam the first time.
