SOURCE: I have an brother 8200 embroidery machine and when

If you take the face plate off (left side cover) there is usually a small sensor "lever" that is activated when you raise or lower the presser foot. This could be bad or broken. Many models had plastic then they switched to a metal lever. I think this could be it.

SOURCE: The carriage of the embroidery unit is not move automatically to the embroidering standby position.

Warning - undertake this fix at your own risk as it will probably invalidate the warranty.

The problem is a bad connection inside the embroidery unit - there is a small plug that joins four sets of wires that comes loose.

1) disconnect the embroidery unit
2) Turn the unit over and remove the posidrive (crosshead) recessed screws on the bottom. ONLY remove the recessed screws NOT the ones holding the catch to hold embroidery unit to machine. ALSO DO NOT remove the one screw that is different (it has different head that allows a flat screwdriver as well as a posidrive)
3) Carefull turn unit back over
4) With the enbroidery unit facing you there is a screw facing you in the white cover of the hoop holder. Remove this screw and carefully remove the plastic cover.
5) On the underside of the hoop holder nearest you there are two black screws that are undone with an allen key. Remove these (they allow the main cover to come off
6) Pop out the long plastc cover under the hoop holder (where the ting moves back and forward)
7) Pop out the section of cover behind this that is now loose.
8) Carefully tease off the main cover. IT will come with patience and by moving the embroidery arm back and fortht to give space. DONT FORCE IT.
9) You will see the rails running left to right that the hoop holder moves on. Under these you should see four wires, that are joined to four other wires by a connector.
10) Wobble the connector to get them to connect again
11) Connect the embroidery unit to the machine and switch on.
12) If the carriage goes to the start position you have restored the connection. Secure with insulation tape
13) If not switch off, wobble, switch on unitl it works
14) Disconnect and replace covers.

Good luck. This sorted out our machine that just moved the carriage the wrong way and flashed red 88

SOURCE: feed dogs stuck in down position

The feed dogs come up as soon as you start sewing again. Just make sure they're in the up position and start sewing.

Embroidery machine thread getting stuck!

The error message "Check and rethread the upper thread" on your Brother PE550D embroidery machine can be caused by a few different things. Here are some things you can try to fix the problem:
  1. Make sure that the thread is loaded correctly and the thread guides are properly adjusted. Refer to the manual or the threading diagram on the machine for specific instructions.
  2. Check the tension of the upper thread. The tension should be adjusted according to the type and weight of the fabric being used.
  3. Check the bobbin case and make sure it is loaded correctly and the tension is adjusted properly.
  4. Clean the bobbin case and the race hook, and make sure there is no lint or debris that could be causing the thread to bunch up.
  5. Check the needle, make sure it is the correct size and type for the thread and fabric you're using, and that it is inserted correctly and tightened securely.
  6. Inspect the silver arm on the left and make sure it is not bent or damaged and that it moves freely.
  7. Make sure that the presser foot is in the correct position and that the presser foot lever is in the proper position.
  8. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may be best to take the machine to a professional technician or contact the manufacturer for further assistance or service.
It is important to note that, the above steps are general troubleshooting steps, and the actual problem can be caused by different things, so it is best to consult a service manual for your specific Brother PE550D embroidery machine or contact the manufacturer for more detailed and accurate information.

The embroidery hoop is not moving to the right to needle position

Hello,
I will need more information on what kind of machine you are using, make and model will help tons. First instinct is your embroidery arm needs to be calibrated to it's center or "home position". Some machines allow this to happen every time you are finished using the embroidery arm, it's the "storage position".

How do i repair X-Axis home position error for pr 600II

If the machine's embroidery arms have been moved under force when the machine's power is on, you may need to have the machine tune up and reset to true center. I would suggest taking it to a authorized repair shop for a good cleaning and service. In most cases for what you paid for the machine, there is included service that can come with the purchase of the machine, or in the least, a discount on mechanical services and repairs.

Embroidery arm does not work

Sounds like the embroidery arm belt stop is out of adjustment. Unless you're pretty handy, take the machine and arm to a professional. If you're going to tackle it yourself, get a service manual for the machine.

Embroidery machine is making grinding noise and carriage doesn't move. Then, screen says malfuntion, turn machine off.

Just because the hoop holder has been moved during transportation. Shut down the machine, manually bring hoop holder in central position in both X and Y, it will restart.

Brother pr 600 has x axis possition error message.

In most cases customer were emb. bags when or after you get this error message, there is a sensor under the x-axis; horizontal arm; that gets hit and breaks you can try to get a dealer to sell you the sensor and repalce it yourself its really easy, one screw on the side of the x-axis cover and it lifts and slides off and one screw for the sensor plus two flexible flat cables plug into it

JANOME MEMORYCRAFT 8000 STEPPING MOTOR ERROR

if you ever have this problem, it is because you have had something in the way of the embroidery arm at the back of the machine, so it has not been able to move freely; you'll get a terrible noise as the machine is unable to do what it wants, slips gears or something and then can't bring the arm to its home position. But fear not, i have found if you turn the machine off and gently push the arm back home to touch the machine as it is the start position, when you turn it on, it will work fine and no harm done. just make sure the arm can move freely before you start embroidery!
