IVE GOT A VIZIO TV MODEL D55-F2 AND IT HAS DARK SPOTS ON THE SCREEN IT STILL HAS A FULL COLOR PICTURE ITS JUST SOME SPOTS ARE DARKER HOW DO I DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE

The Vizio "E" (economy) series sets have local diming, on most brands if some of the lamps go bad the screen is black but not on these model Vizio TV's, for this reason it's harder to troubleshoot the set for possible bad backlights or backlight inverter issues. If you have a LED backlight tester you can test each zone at the backlight connector off the inverter board to see if each is working, without a tester you're going to need to remove the panel then move strips that don't light to ones that do and see if it's the strips bad or inverter issues.

A Vizio TV will flicker if there is a broken backlight, loose or faulty video cable or port, poor signal strength or incompatible display settings. Reseat all cable and connections to the television from your devices. Physically remove the cables from both the television and the device and reconnect them. If you have any of these options available please turn all of them off to see if this resolves the display flickering. lickering and shorted leds causing dark spots are both symptoms of bad leds. You can try turning down the backlight level and see if the flickering stops. The ultimate solution may be to replace the LED strips.

Sounds like dead pixells to me.
Replace the screen if it is worth it.

hello you need to take you tv to a technician because now the problem is with the light stripes even if you reset it nothing will change the problem is with the light stripes you might be lucky if the screen is ok but dont worry its the lighting system

Line Defects On Vizio TV Screens

I am afraid that the dark spot in the screen is not repairable. Manage as long as you can or go for a new tv.

You could possibly be dealing with a failing LCD panel. I've seen many of the dark spots in Samsung sets and it's due to defective LCD panel tabs. The only true fix is the replace the panel which would cost more than a new TV !!!

As far as mostly red--turn color to zero and examine screen--if not gray or black and white it may need the screen controls adjusted.

Dark---with back cover off clean the three lens this model has--they are the light source for your picture and if dusty picture will be darker and somewhat dull looking.
