Hi i have a split confortotal unit I leave It on auto but it never goes off what shall i do

This could be caused by many things. Some mini-split units run the fan at low volumes all the time, but the outdoor unit cycles on and off with demands for cooling and heating.

Check the fan setting on the remote or thermostat and see if it is set to run all the time.

Hi there, this is a 21/2 ton split system. You can lower it to 68 degrees, but I wouldn't go any lower then that.Auto is for the fan only, it cycles on and off in the auto position, and in the on setting it runs all the time even when the cooling stops just to circulate the air. You can try and leave it in the on not auto as this may help the room stay cooler. Please keep me posted.

PS, if the remote does not say on, and just says auto and cool, set it to auto.

The indoor unit fan of the split ac runs all the time is this normal??

Is there a auto/on switch for the fan? In auto it will only run when the condensing (outside unit) runs. If its in the on position it will run all the time. Also, possible bad thermostat stuck in on position. Check and see if the condenser unit is also running all the time.

Auto delay on splits

All Split ac units have a safety system in them for a smooth switch over.
The delay time is different in all units especialy if they are "Inverters" or "soft start"

To be extra safe , just select prefered Temp and then Put it all on Auto.
Also some models have an anti tamper lock on the remote settings.

My industrial split unit is making life difficult for people in the galley. pls what shall I do to be saved? I have cleaned the condenser, charged with gas etc pls help.

check the indoor coil, the filter , and for air leaks

the only thing you can do yourself is leave the set unplugged for over an hour, this will reset it to factory settings. If that does not do the trick it will need to serviced. Chances are if it is a rear projection set that the convergance board is dead. This would be more to fix than the tv is worth.

the way i solved it is by holding down the menu and the volume(-) and the disabling the dis. That worked for me so you should try it.

Split A/C-Cold:

You need four wires(two #10 and two #12) to the outdoor unit, leaving you house, and three wires(#10) coming from the breaker to tye indoor unit inside your house.

Split A/C-Cold and Hot:

You need five wires(two #10 and three #12) to the outdoor unit, leaving your house, and thee wires(#10) coming from the breaker to your indoor unit inside your house.

This ypical arrangment(all of them use three wires fro the breaker), yet there are other units which may require 6-7 wires connected to the the outdoor unit depends on the added features to the unit.

This can only be a gas problem.
the split units goes on on and off if a shortage of gas is involved, the chances that you would here it wont be that big for the fans would make too much noise.
get a repair man for a re gas and all is well.

This is normal operation for these styles of minisplits. The thermostat is not in the remote but is located on the return air of the indoor coil, so the air needs to be flowing in order for the thermostat to measure the rooms temperature. Set your fan speed to auto and the fan will slow down when setpoint tempurature is met.
