check the drum, remove it and and check if the connector of the drum to the printer is ok, after returning the drum to the printer turn off your printer remove the power plug from the wall outlet and same also at the back of the printer. after five minutes power on the printer.
I replaced cord with metal wire aprox. 2 inches long and reattached cord to that. The metal grill wears out the rope. Of course you'll have to take it apart to get to switch.
