Question about The Computers & Internet

1 Answer

HAMILTON BEACH MW - Model: EM145AAK-P (Under license to and sold by Walmart) ... Clock Setting per Owners Manual: (1) Press " CLOCK ," "00:00" will display. (2) Press the number keys and enter the current time. For example, to set the clock to 10:12, press "1,0,1,2". (3) Press " CLOCK " to finish clock setting. ":" will flash and the clock will be lit. COMMENT: Clock is NOT able to be set per the aforementioned directions. Per online research, later confirmed by Walmart Customer Service (NOTE: Was referred to said Customer Service by Hamilton Beach Customer Service per licensing agreement), Step (3) of Clock Setting procedure was printed in ERROR and should have stated “Press ‘START’ to finish ...” instead, which, upon trying is also NOT able to set the Clock. QUESTION: Is there an alternative method for setting the Clock?

ok, you posted microwave oven to computer repair help?
why in the world ask this here, and not in ovens here or better x100 better ask the maker for help.

    it is not A COMPUTER,
    it is and OVEN Uwave

cheap Uwave ovens made in china.
    with bad operators guide.

the manual is there, and states

on my, oven, it is GE,
    one extra step is needed.
    2: set time by hand.
    3: push a/m p/m button.
    4 :push clock
    (GE only)

not button clock starts the event and terminates the setting event.

your manual states, page 10 this.

    2. Clock Setting

    (1) Press " CLOCK ," "00:00" will display.

    (2) Press the number keys and enter the current time. For example, to set the clock to 10:12, press " 1,0,1,2" .
    (3) Press " CLOCK " to finish clock setting. ":" will flash and the clock will be lit.

    (4) If the numbers are not within the range of 1:00-12:59, the setting will be invalid until valid numbers are input.
    1. In the process of clock setting, if the " STOP/CLEAR" button is pressed or if
there is no operation selected within 1 minute, the oven will go back to the previous setting automatically.
    2. If the clock needs to be reset, repeat steps 1- 3.

if this fails, unplug the oven for 1 hour.
let it sit 100% dead , no AC power.
them AC cord back in to all jack, and set time.
if that fails send it back to walmart, for 2nd oven. if that fails, upgrade time.

    more. ?
plug in OVEN to wall jack AC.
push closed the door 2 times, make sure nothing jamming door preventing said closure, fully.
    then push stop/clear button.

next push clock ( if too slow it times out)
and key in 1200 , (you must see 1200) and last clock button, does that work? (or 1159)?

if it does not show what you typed. then it was typed in wrong or the #buttons are bad.
try other time settings to prove that.
    like 1000 or 1111
    or 0200 or 200 or 300.
one will work , keep in mind the firmware inside things like this are ddummbb(sic)
it only allows a narrow rang of inputs.
    0-9. (never 9999)1259 is max.
try more simple settings like I stated above.

I can see it does not allows starting to cook
at 11:30pm to 11:45pm, it is a cheap model
with no am/pm nor 24hr military time modes.
setting it is more simple than mine.
    clock +time+clock

also what time setting did you try?
    clock 1100 clock
    clock 1100 start

what? exactly tell what you did and exact displayed results for best answers.

the manual is there on the walmart page.

    if all fails exchange it.
its not big , and exchanges easy.90day rule.
    per manual. last page.

  • Anonymous Jul 05, 2020

my GE will not ever work (cook) if the clock is not set first. so yes, if true that is a pain..

  • Anonymous Jul 05, 2020

is this old Uwave? yes/no? google finds nothing much.

why post to computers and is not.
    post here.

    with door closed, try.
    clock (time)clock.
clock 1111 clock , if this holds time. then the
even works and you are not doing time correctly.

  • Anonymous Jul 05, 2020

there is no TOD battery backup , either like seen on all PCs made and all bedroom clocks.
it forgets the second the AC power goes dead or the AC power in you home is interrupted.
    surges or near by lightning.

  • Anonymous Aug 07, 2020

take it back to walfart and buy better brand.
    GE is one. KitchenAid.
my GE ran for 15 years, until switches failed.
replaced them for $20 and good for 15 more.
nothing man makes last long + entropy.

seem your UWAVED is by underdogs in (12,000 away) and junk, or can not translate to English. sad no?

this uwave is contracted by walfart.
    sold only by wally.
and is junk class. (bottom of the barrel cheap)
that too means the manual with it is wrong
google can not find one, . yeah rare.

  • Anonymous Aug 07, 2020

did you just buy this Uwave that it?
    or is it old?

parts for it are rare, walmart only version. EM = that.

clock (time) clock, say the manuals.
if the numbers are not within the range of 1:00-12:59, the setting will be invalid
    until valid numbers are input.

    as a test press 1111
takes only 1 key number to do that. easy
    clock 1111 clock.
just as a test to prove it works or not.
this Uwave does not do milatary time nor
AM/PM just like wall clock does with hands on face. 1 to 12.
    my GE does Am/PM.

next time post here, not to computers.
walfart ovens have poor support avoid them.

  • Anonymous Aug 07, 2020

we can not get or Uwave oven to work on wifi either, and are flummoxed.
    nor read our emails..

  • Anonymous Aug 08, 2020

the microwave oven must not be faulty, not bad in any way or the OVEN brain blocks you ! .
that is what it does, for sure if door not closed or the 3 or 4 door switches do not agree.(to each other or are INTERMITTENT)
that is how they work, to prevent USER injury.
they are called fail safe interlocks.

if this OVEN is not new, say so, even tell how old it is or even last time it worked, right.
never, or just found it at a garage sale.
    HISTORY MATTERS< for sure.

why not post to ovens here, and not computers.

post using the correct forum and answers go 10x faster and 100x better.
    for sure.

I think oven logic works in this way
    power up. wall plug.
clock glows, & must be set first. (rule1)
but , the logic checks that there are no faults in the oven door, or overheating sensors.
if it sees any error at all it will not let you set the clock, on some Uwaves it even blows the main fuse inside to prevent (on purpose) users getting injured. (serious this is, )
Next time buy a real uWave oven from a top maker so support is 10x better, not ever buy walmart custom brands as you did. (horrible support)

  • Anonymous Aug 09, 2020

It does need service for sure,
2000 volts inside and lethal so not YOU.
    sure does.
    signed Mr.Captain Obvious esq.#3

send it back to walfart, sure.
