Generally, bobbin post would go in with one push and come out with the next push and will follow this sequence. If it is not going back means the small cyclic gear is broken or not in place. The only way it can be put back is to give some tight packing with a paper or thin cloth piece and next time when you require it remove the packing.

SOURCE: bobbin case pops out

Are you sure it is the correct bobbin case ? If it is check the spindle it slides onto and make sure there is not a bit of lint or cotton on there, this will cause it to not engage the locking latch correctly. Also is the bobbin is not the correct one, or is bent it will not lock in correctly. The other thing to do is put a drop of oild on the spindle the bobbin case slides onto.

SOURCE: My bobbin won't catch on the bobbin winder, the metal post spins but the plastic singer style bobbin won't spin with it. What's wrong?

You can turn the screw on the top of bobbin winder tad to right. Also, you may want to try a metal Universal bobbin, but try first option I gave first. Jimmy

SOURCE: The bobbin case keeps popping the bobbin up when trying to sew. How do you fix this problem?

Hi Kathy it sounds like maybe something is in/under your bobbin case. If you have a manual it should show you how to take the bobbin case out and clean it. Hope this helps

SOURCE: Singer 2662 bobbin case keeps popping out.

Check our bobbin for burrs and damage. If the thread catches a rough edge it can pop the bobbin out. Try a different bobbin with new thread... see if that helps. If it does your current bobbin is likely trash.

Hope that helps.

I bought a Jade 20 in Nov and just got it out of the box today. I followed the manual to wind a bobbin and it beeps at me when I hit the start button or the foot pedal instead of winding.

You may have to unplug the foot pedal, I don't have this machine but that's what happens with my Brother when I try to wind a bobbin & haven't unplugged the foot pedal.
Hope this helps.

I have a brother JX2517. I took the bobbin case out to clean it, now I can't get it reinserted properly. I am aligning the arrow and the dot and the thread keeps breaking. Any suggestions?

Vertical bobbins can be a pain to pop back in properly. But first, I'd take out the bobbin and practice without it. Once you get the hang of lining it up and seating it correctly, then put the bobbin in and try again.

I find that a pair of long nose pliers can be helpful - my fingers are so stiff I have trouble manipulating small items and there's not much space to work in either.

Bobbin won't wind/fill. Post does not spin

Pop an empty bobbin on the thread spool. You need to disengage the motor from the presser foot so that the motor no longer makes the presser foot go up and down, but sends the power to wind a bobbin on the thread spool. Check with your machine's manual, but this is usually done be either pushing in, or popping out a button on the hand wheel. Begin a new thread on the bobbin following the directions either from your manual or as printed on the machine. On my Bernina, I have to push the thread spindle sideways to engage the bobbin winder. Use your foot pedal now and the bobbin will automatically fill up. It should stop when full, then you reverse your actions. eg: push the thread spool back, pop in the button on your hand wheel, insert the bobbin (check with your user manual as to clockwise-anticlockwise, and yes it DOES make a difference!) Re-thread your machine (always with the presser foot up) and make a test stich.
I hope this helps and happy sewing.

How do Iinstall the Bobbin holder in na Singer tiny taylor machine?

I"m assuming that you are asking how to reinsert the bobbin case, rather than the bobbin itself. If you don't have your user's manual, you can download it free at the Singer website. When you do, look on page 19; it has exact directions and an illustration there regarding how to reinsert the bobbin case.

Clicking noise in bobbin area

it's possible that there is something wrong with the bobbin itself
try changing the bobbin to a different one.
try changing the needle
try cleaning under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint.
or the bobbin isn't setting in the bobbin case correctly- reinsert a
another bobbin into the bobbin case & see if that helps
or it could be something is wrong with the hook & hook race-
if the machine keep making the noise I suggest having the machine
checked at a repair shop

Bobbin Case will not snap into housing

Insert the bobbin case without a bobbin to see if it will go all the way into the locked position. If it does, the bobbin case and basket are okay.
Check inside the bobbin basket(where the bobbin goes) and see if there is thread or lint wrapped around the spindle the bobbin case sits on. If there is, remove it. If there isn't ,then the bobbin is probably sprung and needs to be replaced.

How do I reinsert the bobbin case...

Hi PaQuilter,

Right when you're in the middle of a project - ALWAYS when something goes wrong!

Have you tried turning the bobbin the other direction in the bobbin case? On some machines the direction the bobbin turns can really make a difference.

If you've tried that and still not working:
  1. Make sure the needle is fully up in the needle hole - loosen needle screw, push needle up as far as it will go and re-tighten screw. Drapes are heavy work and the vibration of the machine may have caused the needle to slip a bit.
  2. Re-thread machine from scratch - i.e. take thread completely out of thread path and start at the very first guide from the spool. The thread can sometimes pop out of one or more of the upper guides/paths and this can cause the problem with the bobbin thread.
  3. If the above doesn't cure the bobbin issue, your machine may be out of time and require a Husqvarna tech to look at it/fix it.
Hoping the problem is cured by the above and doesn't require a trip to the sewing machine doctor.

Happy sewing - good luck with the drapes,
Kim & Linnette
