The manuals will sometimes come on CD now, hard to read I Know.

Hi there looking at buying a yamata fy2300 can this machine sew denim? If anyone could help they would be great thank you.

According to this web site, it says the machine will sew everything "untill jeans" (sic). By that, I assume it means fabric lighter weight than jean fabric will work on this machine. In other words, sewing denim fabric may damage the machine.

I have a Kenmore sewing machine Model 158.17030. It's an older model and I don't have the user manual. I can't figure out how to set it on the hemming stitch. No matter what I do, it just sews a straight...

Hi. First, I'd recommend you get a replacement manual. They are really useful. Check out http://sewingpartsonline.com/sewing-machine-instruction-manuals.aspx.

I assume you have different stitches on the machine and a diagram of some sort showing what each stitch looks like. Find one that looks like:

---^---^---^--- (maybe on its side). That's the blindstitch. Some machines require you use a blindstitch foot with the stitch, but some don't. Without the user's manual, it's hard to say what your machine requires.
