We are on our second machine and we still have this problem>  $7000++ for the machines and we still are waiting for a cup of coffee.  Makes a lot of noise and then releases a small amount of black thick substance.  I hope it's black gold because you cant drink it and it cost a small fortune.

Hi, We had a similar problem and it turns out the beans we were using were too oily and clogging up the works. We solved it by using a slightly more coarse grind (and brewing a stronger cup), and by buying only the best beans (oily beans don't make coffee stronger, just means they aren't good beans and by roasting longer can make the coffee taste stronger). Try Barefoot Coffee Roasters (I don't work for them, just love their coffee). We also use the cleaning tablet more often than prompted, and clean the inside of the flap when we dump the grinds. Good luck. Great coffee, but finicky machine!

CVA 4066 built-in Coffee System. Why doesn't it dispense more than a tiny bit of coffee into a cup?

Just so you know, we are Fixya, we aren't Miele.

You need a seal kit, basically a set of o-rings for the brew head. This machine ends up in Fixya far too frequently!

Built in Miele Coffee Maker: why do i need to empty drip tray so often when there is always a container under the dispenser?

The Drip tray is where the system rinses to when the unit powers up or down and goes through the rinse cycle - there is a drain valve on the Brew unit drive that empties into the drip tray

Water goes to drip tray

See if you can edit make and model into your question, you'll never get a proper answer without that info.

Should be brewing but little or no coffee comes

Check the end of the steam wand and the parnello it may be blocked use a paper clip to clear, as for the brew unit the shower screen may be blocked it will have to be removed and cleaned. It is located under the red o-ring, then adjust the grind coarser. If that solves the problem for the coffee, but the steam wand solution does not work then it is clogged higher on the line in the system.

Softener dispenser isn't working. the softener is still in the dispenser at the end of the cycle

Remove the tray that the detergent etc..goes into. There is usually a tab in the rear of the tray that you can push down to release it and remove fully. Scrub out the whole tray as best you can removing any parts that you can remove to clean as much as possible. Replace the tray, this should help.

No coffee will dispenses

I would remove the coffee spout and check the lines into it. The coffee seems to stop when it hits the spout and goes through the by pass instead. Remove the spout(be careful) then run a coffee and see if it works.

The softener holder just fills with water but will not drain.

Is water left in the dispenser at the end of the cycle?
About two tablespoons of water remaining in the dispenser compartment at the end of the cycle is normal. At the end of the wash cycle, fresh water automatically cleans the dispenser. Check that the cycle is complete before opening the dispenser drawer.
Is the dispenser drawer clogged?
A clogged dispenser can block the flow of water through the dispenser and cause water to leak out. Manually remove the dispenser, and clean any leftover detergent or additives that could clog the flow of water through the dispenser. Also, check that the detergent drawer is always completely closed during the cycle. If the drawer is not closed completely, water can leak out onto the floor.
Are the additives dispensing too early?
Here are a few things that can cause the additives (detergent, fabric softener or liquid chlorine bleach) to dispense early:
  • Check that the dispenser is not overfilled. Do not fill past the MAX fill lines on the dispenser. Overfilling can cause early dispensing of liquid chlorine bleach and/or fabric softener.
  • Check that the detergent separator is in the correct position. For liquid detergent, the separator should be in the front position. For powdered detergent, the separator should be in the rear position. If the separator is in the rear position while you are using liquid detergent, it will dispense immediately, which is not how it is designed to work.
  • Use powdered HE detergent when using the DELAY WASH option. Liquid detergent may dispense prior to the start of wash.
Are the additives dispensing too late?
The additives will not dispense until the proper time if the DELAY WASH option is selected.

No coffee will dispenses

How fine have you got you grind setting, if it is a new machine it needs to be on course Grind, fine grinds clog the filter.  You need to reach into where the tray goes with a cloth and wipe clean the filter bin which is right behind a flap

No coffee, water going to the drip tray

OK, so this is a problem with your brew unit. The unit is not cycling correctly to tell the water to come through.

We had another problem like this just this week.

The wat we fixed it was 1) Give the Brew Unit a really good clean. 2)Make sure the Brew Unit can complete a cycle - manually rotate the brew unit components through a cycle 3) Lubricate the Brew Units moving parts if necessary using some Saeco or Other Food Grade Lubricant

Then try watch a complete coffee cycle by leaving the side door of your machine open, and tricking the micro switches into thinking the door is closed by engaging them with some card or something similar.

Let us know if this does not resolve your issue.
