try to check if your IDE cable is plug-in correctly. insert it correctly. try to restart your computer.

Box is probably faulty and should be returned under warranty. It is wise before returning anything to re-read the instructions to ensure you are doing everything right.

Have you tried to unpower the box for a while and then plug back? If not the box may be bad.

Onkyo TX-SR604: Video in from cable box has taken increasingly longer to display a picture.

I would at least disconnect all units from power for a while and then reconnect to allow the units to reboot.

My computer will run fine for 10 or 15 minutes then it will reboot itself, run fine again for 5 or 10 minutes then reboot itself again. This keeps happening over and over.

is the processor fan spinning and dose it get to full speed because it sound like its over heating and shutting down

My Belkin Router keeps loosing connections. It was fine until today, and now every 15 minutes, I'm having to unplug it and then plug it back in. When it looses connection, the modem light is blinking red....

Step 1 Go to Start> Control Panel > and select Network connections.

Step 2 Right click on your network card (for 2000 and XP only)and select Properties.

Step 3 Select the Configure button.

Step 4 Under the Advanced tab you will see two boxes; Property and Value.

Note: Depending on the type of Ethernet card you are using the headings in the Property box will be slightly different.

Step 5 Select each heading in the Properties box until the Value box displays the speed of your Ethernet card (it will look like this: Auto-Negotiation, 10Mb Full, 100 MB Half, etc..). You want to select 10mb Full Duplex.

Step 6 Keep clicking OK until you get to the desktop. Your computer may ask you to reboot depending on the version of Windows you are running.

Three problems - the Media Converter will not correctly convert videos over 15 minutes long, it will not recognize the DVD's file structure, and it cannot play copyright-encrypted video files. This player is more for YouTube-style videos. Here is a workaround:
1) Use video editing software to break the DVD file into 15-minute chunks
2) Run the chunks through Riva FLV Encoder - convert it to AVI format, and make sure sound is enabled
3) Run the Riva-converted chunks through the Philips Media Converter
4) You can now watch your movie in 15-minute chunks - I hope you chose filenames that allow the files to be played in sequential order

I can be on as long as an hour or as long as 5 mins and it just reboots.It takes like 15 minutes to reboot.
