There's nothing you can do. With the switch to digital broadcasting, the sound isn't on the same frequencies it used to be so this radio can't pick it up. Right now, nobody's offering a digital receiver for the sound. All your radio is good for now is the regular radio and weather broadcasts.

Open Questions:

Why is there no sound (output) from FM, AM or TV audio functions? I have an old DAV-HDX265 CD and DVD works but no sound from FM AM or TV/audio functions (can see FM works). Tried cold reset, both using the console (I/o, stop, eject) and through setup. Tried presetting FM stations. Tried HDMI on/off, thried different surround settings, different wires, etc. I know it's old system but CD/DVD works so hard to toss it out. This really feels like a software switch somewhere. I have the repair manual even and could run error codes but I don't have much more past that to effect a repair. I'm pretty savy but not making progress, and repairs are more expensive than a new system. Anybody with some deep knowledge on this issue? i have seen it on a couple boards before but no resolution.
