Hello,
Several things can cause this problem- if you post a picture of the inside of the tank so we can have a good look at how the fill/stop mechanism operates that would be great. We could more than likely identify some type of problem and solution. Not all flush/fill mechanisms are not the same but thats surely where your problem is UNLESS its in your water lines. I would love to help you just please provide photos and as much information as you can.
Good luck!
Mr.Mike

The complication here is that Jacuzzi does not make toilets anymore than Sears makes refrigerators. In Sear's case their Kenmore refrigerators are from Whirlpool with the Kenmore name.

It is my understanding that Eljer was the manufacturer of the toilets with the Jacuzzi name typically sold at box stores. With that as a starting point, surf the web for any Eljer toilet tank replacement parts and see if you can find a similiar flusher

SOURCE: need parts for a 30 year old jacuzzi toilet

Depending on what the innards look like, you can spend $15 at a home center like Home Depot for a toilet replacement parts kit. They're easy to install (about 30 minutes) and fix most common toilet issues.

If this won't work you might need to contact a plumbing supply company in your area. You'd be surprised what they have in inventory....

After flush the system must close the hole which lets water into the toilet. If it does not close after flush, it is continuously letting the water thru. Check if it closes after flush and allows tank to fill.

I have a Jacuzzi low flow toliet. Sometimes the water won't shut off after it is flushed

A frequent cause of this is a defective flapper. If the flapper does not seat properly after a flush, the refill water will flow continuously

Jacuzzi toilet does not fill enough water in the bowl

Check to see if there is not a clog in the trap. This could keep your bowl from filling up. Also check the flapper and see if it is staying afloat in the tank long enough during the flush. Either of these could be the cause here.

Water is seeping past flush valve causing tank fill valve to refill tank

Replace the flapper unit and if needed the lower unit it drops into, one or the other is causing this and Flapper is the most common.

Toilet tank fills slowly

My sister has a two year old Jacuzzi toilet that worked fine until a few months ago. Then it started to take 10 minutes to shut off after each flush. I lifted the tank cover and immediately saw the problem; at least 90% of the refill water was going into the refill pipe instead of the tank. Upon examination I discovered that the plastic part that holds the flexible refill tube to the vertical refill pipe was broken. This part not only holds the refill tube in place, it also has a small orifice at the end to restrict the flow into the pipe. The part was broken in such a way as to let nearly all the water go into the refill pipe instead of the tank, hence it would run for 10 minutes after the toilet bowl was full and waste all that water. I found a small coarse thread stainless steel screw that fit into the plastic attachment piece to help plug the orifice and cut down the amount of water going to the refill pipe. Now the toilet flushes and refills in less than 2 minutes. I'm in the process of trying to find a replacement for that part but so far no luck.

Running toilet

At the top of the float there is a screw head, you need to adjust that until the water stops at the proper level. If this does not stop it from running then you will have to replace the float and I also recommend that you replace the flapper as well. This is not an expensive fix and the instructions are very easy to follow.

Tank not holding fill level...

Most likely, you do not have a good seal on the flapper valve at the bottom of the tank. To confirm, try this:
Turn off water and flush toilet. Then lift up the flapper valve and put a light coating of vaseline on the mating surface where it contacts the toilet tank when closed.
Turn water back on and see if it continues misbehaving. If that fixes it, it was a bad seal. Usually that is all it takes.

I bought two of the Jacuzzi model BK37959ERA elongated complete toilets. In both toilets the right hand bolts that hold the tank to the base have a slighrt leak, straight through dripping off the threads....

Should be a few flat rubber washers and a few metal or heavy plastic washer,But sometimes even when all the parts are right you still need to apply a little silicon or even plumbers putty.I do this to all that I work on,Just as a preventative measure. This is also the quickest and least cost effective way to repair it.

Please take time to rate this fixya
