If you bought the satnav in the USA it won't work in Europe. If you bought it in Europe you can download the maps but the full map of Europe won't fit on it. You can fit Western Europe or add and remove countries as you need them. It's probably not a satisfactory solution when traveling with a motor home. You can put the map on an SD card but the nuvi 200W has problems reading maps from SD cards of 2 Gb or more. The map of Europe would take a 4 Gb card to hold it all.
You would probably be better to buy a cheap satnav of Europe. You can get them from http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/xx/617/xx/1914/23/criteresn.html?sSortInfo=Prix-ASC if you want to buy on line or Halfords shops if you prefer to deal with someone face to face. Some of them cost less than €100 and would be near the same price as buying the map of Europe.
Or if you want a satnav that covers both the USA and Europe and will work in both the Garmin nuvi 1370 or the 2370 would do the job but costs a bit more.
It's possible that it doesn't have a map of England. Press Tools, then press Settings then press Map. Press Map Info. This will show you the maps installed on your satnav and the map selected should have a tick beside it. If there's no map of Europe or UK on it you'll need to buy one. If there's one there but not ticked press on it and it will become selected and should work fine then. If you need to buy a map you'll need to register the satnav if you haven't already done so. TO REGISTER Connect the satnav to your computer and go to www.garmin.com. Select your country. Click on myGarmin and then on Register Your Garmin Device. Follow the prompts. You'll be asked to create a username and password. Keep them in a safe place as you'll probably need them again to update maps. TO BUY NEW MAPS. Log into myGarmin and click on myMaps. Click on Shop fFor More Maps. Select the one you want, UK and Ireland or W Europe would do. Follow the prompts.
Usually they come preloaded with some maps and you purchase additional ones. Check the manual that came with it or the box and that should tell you which ones it has. Generally speaking a basic unit bought in the UK will come with UK & Ireland preloaded, more expensive unit may have UK, Ireland & Europe and the most expensive may have all three plus USA. It's unlikely you will have 'lost' your USA map. The unit should have a 'drop down' menu which allows you to choose which map to load. Hope this helps!
No. They are refering to maps sent from the computer to the Garmin device. Maps are not transferred off the SD card to the unit. Simply insert the SD card into the device and the Garmin will read the maps from the card.
to double check follow these steps
