Yes, it can be repaired. On either the back or on the bottom are access screws, which once removed allow access for service. Remove the screws, then the cover what with which the screws held, then follow the power wire back to it's connection point. The cord is attached by either another set of screws, or by solder. Replace with the new cord, ( make sure it is the same type and rating of wire, otherwise you could have an overheating issue with the wire) and replace the cover and retention screws. Then you should be good to go!
