SOURCE: lay z spa water pump is faulty where can I get a

Hi Im Chris From BVL Elecric,
I cover Bournemouth and surrounding areas and supply solutions to most home electrical problems.
A lovely lady customer called me out today to diagnose faulty
LAY-Z-SPA
pump/heater that kept tripping the RCD.
After scouring the net and finding this same problem over and over again but no solution,I decided to get personal with the blighter!!!
RESULT:- problem solved,
Customer very happy,
no new parts fitted,
water heating fine now.
If you live in my coverage area, have a LAY-Z-SPA that is faulty,no or limited warranty then give me a ring and I will be only to happy to come on over and fix it for a small fee.
just think that dead spa/pool heater/pump could be heating your water again tomorrow and there is plenty of summer left to enjoy it.
You can find my details quite easily , just google BVL Electric Bournemouth

SOURCE: Hi, I have a Bestways

If it is tripping the RCD then there could be a short circuit somewhere. or the Heating element is shorted. Please check the wiring and the element.

If this is an outdoor spa near trees, its almost a guarantee that the impeller is blocked with debris (pine needles can cause this in a hurry)

If the impeller is clean of debris and this is still happening, replace you pressure/flow switch.

All lights flashing indicate a fault with the pump.

This is a common fault with these units which the supplier blames on people not following the installation and maintenance instructions.

If you require any further assistance then please just ask.

Has anyone had problems with Lay Z Spa pumps?

Lots of people have had issues with them. I'm afraid that they don't last particularly long. The Lay Z Spa's are built to a price.

I have delivered a new acrylic spa to someone today who previously had a Lay Z Spa, he had owned it for about 14 months and was already on his second pump unit.

My Intex pure spa will not turn on just making an noise

im gonna assume that its not the first time you have used it , and maybe have returned to using it from a dorment period, if so this is a common problem with pumps that are not put in storage correctly . to correctly store a pool or spa im gonna suggest a "wet" storage vs a dry type storage , as your just not gonna be able to get all the "material" out of pump since 1st use , to properly store a WET pump some sort of non freezing fluid must be used , I like Rv antifreeze but vegtable oil (both food grade) has been used in good standing as well
the noise you hear is the pump motor trying to turn but the impeller "pump" is frozen by corrsion sometimes a dissasembly and regrease with waterproof grease from hardware store works some times it requires pump replacement due to breakage

Bestway Lay-Z-Spa

We sell the Bestway Lazy-Spa however we do not sell anything other than the replacement filter so I cannot tell you what is all included with that part number.
I would suggest you contact the store you purchased the spa from to determine the contents of the replacement item.

Leaking lay z spa pump

Firstly try some Fix-a-leak spa leak repair.
If the suspected leak is less than 1/8" that should fix it.
Or remove the paneling to find where it is coming from, there is no easy solution.

Hi just put our new lay z spa up but the pump wont bleed. There is water round the filter but it doesnt rise up enough to push the air out.

is the pump setting higher that the water in ur spa??? and there should be a pitcock valve to open on ur filter to let air out

Pool pump shutting off/tripping the circuit breaker

What kind of pump are you using?
Sounds like the Intex is restricting water flow there by heating up your pump and shutting it down..
You may need to re plumb everything to handle the flow.
Intex hoses and fittings are different than the industry standards just so the can make you buy from them
Do what ever it takes to get good flow
