The possibilities are too many for turning off itself.
1) It could be a heat issue with the TV set
2) It could be a software issue with the TV set, for example energy saving settings or active stand by mode.
3) It could be a timer set up in the TV set menu.
4) It could be a faulty power supply.
5) It could be a very unstable mains supply (not very likely, but possible)
You can check the user manual for information about +"TV power on control (Active Standby)"+
Sometimes the LED's on the front of the TV may indicate "the issue":
Just reset the network and try for WIFI issue:
To connect to a wireless network, perform the following:
As soon as I type WiFi Password in, the network flicks to disabled and/or turns the TV off.
That might be a software Issue. Please Reset your network If possible update your software
How do I reset the network? It wont connect long enough to search for a software update

SOURCE: Projector stays on for 3 minutes then turns itself off
Hi Chipped Rice
The loud buzzing noise you heard was the colourwheel that gave in.
Now what happens is , the machine will turn on and go through the whole cycle and as soon as the colourwheel is supposed to start doing it's stuff the Projector will switch off because there is no response from the coulourwheel itself.
You will have to replace the colourwheel unfortunately as it cannot be fixed.
Thanks for using Fixya !

Glad to hear the new one is working (it's likely or at least possible, that the old one is simply mis-configured - resetting back to it's factory defaults and starting from scratch should help with the bridging issue)
SOURCE: MY TOSHIBA TURNS ITSELF OFF.
There are several reasons to this problem but the first reason may be because of over heating problem therefore just check the processor fan whether it is running in its speed or not.
Just put the heatsink paste in the processor which also may solve the problem

SOURCE: tmobile wing won't turn on the wifi
I had the same problem with my htc mda vario. I had to hard reset the phone and it'd work just fine for me . I have not had that problem yet on the wing
SOURCE: A/C compressor fan won't turn on by itself.
How does changing the bossing of the fan fix the compressor to turn back on?

Usually answered in minutes!
I guess you never read the manual first?
that it? about the auto sleep mode and the page on auto OFF LINE if no inputs selected, that it?
test the TV on HD TV antenna, see it does not go dead. see? even $10 antenna easy as pie.
or jack in a DVD player HDMI and play that
see it does not go to sleep.!
plug the TV Ethernet cable (buy one) to your unstated router. see it does work.
only wifi is dead. for allt he 100 reasons wifi loves to fail.... mostly router to far away.
worse this:
"While the Toshiba 49U6763DB is the first television bearing the Japanese brand’s name to grace UK shores for three years, it’s not actually a full-blooded Toshiba TV. The brand name in Europe was sold to Turkish LCD manufacturer Vestel, and the 49U6763DB is the first fruit of that ‘union’."
some TV do have a screen saver, build in or after all inputs to TV are dead , including tuner TV turned off line.
no TV source stated so no exact answers possible.
turns self OFF
the TV has sleep timer, turn that off.
reading your manual to you, NOW, PAGE 6 tells you clear as day
"If the TV does not receive any input signal (e.g. from an TV antenna aerial or HDMI source) for 3 minutes, it will go into standby."
on the same page: it tells you (RTM )
When you next switch-on, the following message will be displayed: “TV switched to stand-by mode automatically because there was no signal for a long time.” Press OK to continue.
now for WIFI;
first off the TV has wired ethernet connection that is plug and play, just plug it in and bingo. www connected via the magic of your HoME router. Page 28. in the manual.
then there is iffy WIFI.
page28 and 29 here
find your routers SSID broadcast name.
then type YOUR wifi password and bam it works.
unless too far from your router.
dah manual is here, 1st google hit.
