SOURCE: Hampton bay ceiling fan with built-in remote receiver

In case someone else stumbles upon this:
I replaced the remote receiver on one of these fans. jb is right just the top housing that touches the ceiling needs to be removed. Twist it counter clockwise and pull down. You'll see all the wires and the remote receiver. It might not seem like much room to work with, but you can remove the wires and slide the receiver out sideways to replace it or if you can't see the dip switches. Too bad Home Depot is too cheap to even provide instructions when they send you the replacement remove receiver.

SOURCE: Sio/Scan Temperature Transmitter 433MHz for batteries

I just changed the batteries yesterday. It was hard to open the battery compartment with bare hands/finders. I used flat screw driver to poke into the notch in the center of the transmitter. Or you can try poke into any **** around the compartment. It works!

SOURCE: how do i set the

If you've lost the signal, press and HOLD the search button until you hear a beep. Then the number of the channel being searched will start flashing. It takes about a minute or two and then will read out the temperature.

BIOS weather 315BC-TX I see a little switch [3 2 1] which situated under a batteries cover of an outdoor transmitter. What the switch for?

I'll admit I don't know the answer, but I can see that the receiver can receive up to three transmitters - so an educated guess would be that each transmitter can be identified using this switch??

I have no transmitter signal from my wwc model ws1600IT 915mhz TX22IT even after changing Batteries in accordance with instruction of setup, tried this several time, this unit previously worked ok.

Be sure to remove all batteries at both ends then reinstall/install batteries at transmitter end, wait for it to initialize and begin sending data then reinstall/install batteries at the receiving end. You should see temperature displayed.

There is no signal from the outside sensor for wind, temperature etc. New batteries made no difference.

I had the same issue. I ended up actually cutting the enclosure off to look inside. (I figured "It's not working anyway, what do I have to lose.") A good number of the conductors on the printed circuit board were corroded to the point that they were gone. Some components were literally falling off the board.

I am pretty good with a soldering iron but after looking at the damage, I threw the transmitter away.

Indoor unit and outdoor unit not connecting

If the outdoor transmitter and indoor receiver communicated for a time and now don't, it could be time for a battery change. The usual procedure is to change transmitter batteries first, then the receiver. You have to wait for something like 10 minutes for the units to begin to "talk". All of this should be covered in the instructions you received with your system

Thermo clock RAR312 not picking up outdoor transmitter temperature. Replaced battery but still nothing.

take a paper clip and reset the reset button located in the battery compartment. Then, try each of the 3 channels until you get a reading in the outside temp field. Wait a good couple of minutes at each channel setting before determining the units are not pairing. Do this with the units side by side for signal acquisition, then once acquired, move the remote sensor outdoors. Hope this helps!
