    no makers name
    nor model# or name.
    there is no answer but do
    go to ebay and reading side of you adapter
    search for same part.
    if lost it, ask our PC maker, NO PC told no help possible.

How to troubleshoot your laptop at start
When you plug in the power adapter and press on the power button, there is no signs of life at all. The laptop will not make usual noises, LEDs will not light up, the fan will not spin, the screen is blank and black, etc… In short, the laptop is dead. What you can do in this case?
1. Make sure the wall outlet is working and the laptop DC adapter is getting power from the outlet. Try another wall outlet.
2. Test the laptop DC power adapter, make sure the voltage output is correct. You can test the DC power adapter with a voltmeter.
3. Let’s say the DC adapter is fine and the adapter outputs correct voltage. In this case unplug the power adapter from the laptop, remove the battery, wait for 1-2 minutes, plug in the adapter and try turning on the laptop again.
OK, you tested the adapter and it’s bad. If you decide to replace the original DC adapter with a generic one, you’ll have to follow this rule:
The voltage output on your new adapter has to be exactly the same as on the original adapter. The amperage on the new adapter could be the same or higher.
If nothing helps and the laptop is still dead, apparently the motherboard is fried or there is a problem with the DC power jack. It’s possible the DC power jack is broken and the motherboard is not getting any power from the adapter. In this case you’ll have to disassemble the laptop and replace the power jack.

I replaced the ac adapter on the motherboard of the Gateway NV5207u and now when I try to power it on, won't power on. battery light red
When you connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED light up? If not then - The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's power socket could be faulty. Check power adapter's DC plug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltage should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that is printed on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the adapter is OK then connect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard.

The power of my Linksys Wireless-G Game Adapter [ WGA54G ], isn;t coming on! I was wondering if there is a switch to turn it on!
With Linksys game adapter there's no power switch on it when you plug it to a power outlet if adapter is working the light should come on.

You can follow these troubleshooting to determine if adapter is really bad or something else.

Make sure that the power adapter that you are using came with the wireless gaming adapter.
Power adapter is connected properly to the back of the adapter and the electrical outlet.
Electrical outlet is preferably a surge protector.
Try another electrical outlet.
Unplug and replug the power adapter.
Hold the reset button for a minute, while the adapter is connected to the electrical outlet.
If there is still no power light then it is possible that the adapter is defective, and have it replace if still under warranty.

No power at forward poser adapters
did you check the fuse (under the hood) to see if it needs replacing? I had a dime roll into my power adapter which in turn blew the fuse. It is a separate fuse than for the rear power socket(s). Check the owners manual for the proper location for the power adapter (front). Remember to check the power adapter for any metal objects before changing the fuse.

As long as you dont EXCEED the power rating listed on the answering machine itself, you can use/purchase a new power adapter for it.

You should be able to find a power adapter that matches the answering machines power need exactly.
