When I plug it into my laptop my usb reads it but no files are showing

Your Storage Device might have infected by virus/worms etc.. So before you do anything, scan with an updated antivirus. Perhaps the virus made your files and folders hidden. After you scan the Device, go open any folder - click Tools - Folder Options - 8366140.jpg

Click View tab - Click the Radio Button "Show hidden files and folders" - Again Uncheck the "Hide

Protected Operating System file" - click Apply - Ok.. and see if you can see any files in the storage device. If you do so, you'll notice that the icons of the folders fade (pale yellow) and when you check the properties of the folder you'll will see the "Hidden" checked and faded, means you can't make any changes with it. It is best to move the files and folders within the folder which are infected, and delete the infected folders after resolving the problem. Reverse the process with the folder option after you successfully resolve...

Toshiba Gigabeat S 30GB Transferring error

You do not have enough room on your computer hard drive. In Windows XP, try a Disk Cleanup. This can happen when you've got a system more than a year or two old, and want to copy the whole 30GB or so.

Can not scan to file

Are you trying to just scan to the public file, or a specific location? If it's the latter, have you set up the path in Top Access? I work on the bigger machines, but I assume it's the same.
