it can be two things the refrgerator probably has a small refrigerant leak therefore it ices up, or the defrosting heater on the begining of the coil is faulty.

replace control board on back of unit there is a six by 10 inch cover on back your panel is in there cost aprox 169.00 dollers also replace bo0th thermisters bottem left of freezer looks like a white bullet the other is in fridge behind shelf trim located beside and underneath where the cold air blows into the fridge.

Make sure you have enough air moving over the coils. There is an air filter on some models which may be obstructed. Insufficient air flow will cause your problem.

Same problem with my GS6SHEXN002. 50 degrees in the refrigerator 10 degrees in the freezer. Everything appears to be fine it just doesn't get any colder than 50Deg. Came on gradually over a a month or so. Still no solution...
