That is not a built in SWR meter. The meter on that unit only measures S which is signal strength and relative transmit power.

It might be the mic wiring. They like to brake off the back of the plug. If you need repair work. [email protected]

hi what do you mean by codes ,or do you mean frequencies ,to enter frequencies press the program key enter the frequency you want to listen too and press enter you can select different banks for different communications ,such as emergency,air traffic,marine,rescue,etc hope this helps

Try to change a 1k resistor R6(I believe) near back of radio. If not, try to change Final. Maybe small transistors near center back to back of radio. If you're not experienced take it to a Radio shop. Sorry i don't have much on this problem.

Not much DIY (do-it-yourself) modifications on a Uniden Bearcat Pro PC68XL  Some that could be tried:

• VR5 - adjust for max / best modulation;
  
• L8, L9 & L10 - change coil spacing for maximum carrier output.
