After disassembling my EasyShot 5650, I had the same problem with the pesky spring. NOTE: The spring in question is NOT the tension spring for the staples.

The picture shows the internal schematics of an EasyShot 5650 staple gun or tacker by Arrow. It was taken from a reverse engineering project for school kids. Unlike the boring grey one in the picture, the most updated version of the EasyShot 5650 comes in translucent jewel tones.

That's an easy one

There are 4 staplers in the Stanley SharpShooter family. You drop the staples on top of the "slide out loader," then slide it into the gun. See models and staple sizes below:

Go to your local Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace, or any other hardware/home store... in the nail/fasteners aisle.

Many staple manufacturers make them, sold by box of 1,000 and up. Just check what number gun they fit.

(example: box states "fits no. 800, 900 and 1000 staple guns.)

As long as "1000" is part of the list, they'll fit.

Hello there:
when you purchase staples for this particular gun even though you might get a staple that is says it fits this gun you need to look at the type of staple if you get the one that says heavy duty it will not work it took me 2 times to find out the right ones for this gun it comes in a green box and says standard duty on it not heavy duty this is where most people make their mistake. ok?
