SOURCE: no suction on Roomba 560

Larger debris is usually the responsibility of the brushes. Remove the bin and run the Roomba-- are the brushes actually turning? If not, call customer support for a new cleaning head module. If so, remove the grill from the back of the bin. Make sure that the little fan inside is clean, then reinstall the bin on the Roomba and run it. If that little fan doesn't spin, your Roomba has lost vacuum suction and you need a new bin.

SOURCE: Disassemble electrolux olympia one vacuum.

Before taking the machine apart, always check for clogs in the hose and power nozzle, full bag, and/or plugged hole under the bag. Suction/vacuum loss can also be caused by leaky or cracked hose, including the section in the power nozzle.
The best way to check for clogs is simply drop a large marble in one end and let it roll through. To check for leaks in hose, hook to exhaust port, pour a small amount of liquid dish soap in other end of hose, lift high and turn on vacuum. Bubbles will appear at badly worn spots and cracks in hose.
There is no need to pull out the motor, as their is no filter surrounding it, motor does not need lubrication, and the above check should result in locating the problem.
Repair manuals are only available to Electrolux franchise owners as highly restricted software.

SOURCE: I have a electrolux Pronto 2 in 1 and the suction

There is a filter inside the main filter. Once that filter gets clogged it will loose suction. Pull the filter and clean it, you can wash it by hand. Turn the unit roller side up and check for a small screw cover that you can use a dime to loosen. This cover is used to remove the roller unit. Once out check and clean then check the gear assy. for miss-alignment.

How do i get my brush roller to spin ?

    Hi,

Please check that all of your belts are still good (ie not stretched out, torn or otherwise worn). Also, please double check that you've cleaned all debris from the brush roll. You might need a tooth brush or a comb that you can throw out later. You might use shampoo to clean in. Then , please have the brush roll motor checked.

    Thank you.

Light and brush roll stopped working on Kenmore cannister

There is a connector somewhere in the bottom that will have gotten debris and stuff in it. Unplug the power first then clean it all contact pins that transfer power. Compressed air works the best but the effect can be gained by using a toothpick. Clearing out the connectors should restore the power to the head. If one or the other stops then its a different problem. This seems to be a full failure in the elements of the head that require power. DO NOT WORK ON ANYTHING STILL PLUGGED IN!!!

Electrolux Epic: POWER NOZZLEM NOT WOKING

Connect power head directly to power without wands and see if’s working
If it’s working you have problems in wands or true hose
If power head is not working directly connected to power you have problem with reset switch or power head motor
Try to push reset switch several times
You have to test hose and wands for continuity and eliminate things by things

Electrolux Ultraactive losing suction and turbo head brush won't spin. Canister is empty, no blockage in hose or nozzle of turbo head, filters cleaned, but Hepa not replaced recently. Could that cause it...

Hi, it's Jeremy from Crucial Vacuum.

There are a few potential solutions you should try to fix the suction of your Electrolux vacuum. The first thing you should check is the height of your brush-roll. Your height setting may be too high for the type of floor you are vacuuming. Raise or lower your brush-roll depending on if you are vacuuming on carpet, tile, or wood surfaces. The second thing you should check is the vacuum bag. If it is full your vacuum can lose suction. This is simply remedied by replacing it with a new and clean bag. The third reason for a loss of suction is your hose is clogged. Check the hose for debris or foreign objects that may be obstructing the flow of air in the vacuum. The last potential reason for your vacuum losing suction could be the brush-roll itself. If it is clogged with dirt and hair it may not be spinning and not picking anything up. Check to see the condition of your brush-roll. If it is clogged remove the debris.

    Suction/Brush not working

Hi there SmartAlec from NelsonVacuums.com.au here.
There are a couple of common reasons that your electrolux vacuum cleaner would appear to have lost it's suction. The first and most common is that it has actually broken a belt. If the belt is broken the brushes won't spin and it will not pick up dirt. It is easy to test simply turn the vacuum on, release the handle (as if you were about to vacuum carpet) and lift up the head and see if the brushes are spinning. If not i can supply you with a new belt.
If the brushes are spinning then your next most likely cause is that there is a blockage in the vacuum somewhere. Test this by turning machine on and checking the suction at the hose (as if your were going to vacuum the couch) if it is poor then remove hose and fish out blockage. If it is ok you may have a blockage between hose and the brush of the vacuum.
If it is neither of these problems i can trouble shoot over the phone if you live in Australia 0269215200 or by email [email protected]
    Happy Vacuuming.. :)

I need a new motor for my electrolux 1590 machine. What is the difference between a 2 stage & a 3 stage motor?

If you haven't got the new motor, the three stage has more suction. The 1590 CV had the three stage motor untin they changed to the two stage not long ago. You can get either one for your unit. The two stage should be a little less expensive.

Power head on epic 6500 does not work, is there a belt?

This is a bot of a blind guess, I don't know the model. But most power head cleaners I have worked on use the suction of the vaccuum to spin a turbo fan in the head (like blowing a child's windmill). The head not spinning is usually because there's not enough **** to spin the turbo fan. Check for:
Gummed up brush bearings (dirt or damp) making the brush harder to turn than it should be.
Poor suction caused by a blocked or partially blocked pipe.
An obstruction that is tactchin the beater or the turbo fan.
Blocked filters on the cleaner, reducing the **** and thereby not providing enough vaccuum to spin the beater.
Not finding what you are looking for?
