Question about Dirt Devil Vacuums
It could also be a bearing problem in the roller brush. Take the belt
off of the roller brush and see if the brush spins freely, if not, remove the
roller brush and check both ends to see if one end is stuck. If so you
need a new roller brush or there might be hair rapped around the bearing keeping it from turning freely.

A link is available to download the manual as well as for replacement parts.
Yes this model has a belt to run the power brush; the manual has replacement instructions.
If dirst is being left behind it could also be a problem with a blockage, overfilled dirt cotnainer, or problem with the filter.

Check if it has fuses and replace them. Check the circuit breakers and where (wall outlet) you're connecting it by connecting for example a lamp that is known to work somewhere else. Check that the dirt bag's empty. Get a technician or a new one as a last resort. Whatever's cheaper.
