No clue at all what It is, forcing helper guess or google it.
is it a vinyl recorder turn table player?
in the mid 1960s I sold OTC all cartridges' made, then,
this 850 looks AIWA,
the needle slide off end of the AIWA custom cartridge
there is no standard for this.
ebay shows spare needle.
no cartridges, sold , nor covered in the manual (toy grade TT)

SOURCE: Printing is way to light

if your prints are coming out with blue green tint, more than likely, the magenta (pink) is missing from your calibration page. Print out a calibration sheet, you should have black, yellow, blue, and magenta. If one of these colors is missing, your printhead is clogged. You need a new one. Call Kodak Tech Support.

When copying or printing, there is a whitish strip down the center where the rollers are. Print in this area is very faint. Thank you for any advice.

Remove the toner cartridge and while keeping relatively level, shake it from side to side. Re-install and try a test print. If the light band has gone away then problem solved. It does mean that your toner crtridge is probably starting to get low on toner. 90% of the time, print quality issues on HP lasers are toner cartridge related.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Still showing Empty even with new colour cartridge

This is a common problem mostly associated with but not confined to compatible cartridges where the chip on the cartridge is faulty, missing or is not making contact correctly with the printer cartridge connectors. The first thing to do is make sure that the plastic seal has been removed from the chip and that it is free of any residual adhesive etc. You can clean this with a cotton bud soaked in isopropyl alcohol or VCR tape head cleaner. DO NOT USE SURGICAL SPIRIT or any other cleanser as this will either leave a residue itself or damage the plastics and rubbers in the printer. Also do this around the port where the ink exits the cartridge to wipe away any accumulated ink residue.

Once cleaned, making sure that the cartridge is dry of any cleaning fluid, reinsert the cartridge and try again. Make sure that the cartridge is seated correctly and locked down.

Then run a printer cleaning cycle, then test print, then the alignment cycle and if necessary a deep cleaning cycle then test print and realignment cycle.

If this is still unsuccessful the best solution is to return the cartridges to the vendor where you bought them and get another brand of cartridges or use genuine original cartridges. When you find a reliable manufacturer of cartridges, stay with them. Don’t forget to clean the print head and realign & recalibrate the printer at every cartridge change for optimum results. Also make sure that you use high quality paper for the best images results.

You could try running a cleaning cartridge through the system or buying a newly available Chip reset module available from most ink resellers. If these are not an option then you are possibly looking at buying a new head assembly.

Some other options that may work. Open the cover, remove the cartridge, tilt the whole printer forward away from you about 45 degrees, reseat the cartridge and close the cover.

This has worked for me several people. I think there is a small sensor behind the contact chip that detects ink levels and when my printer is flat the level of ink is lower than the sensor, when I tilt the printer the error vanishes because the ink covers the sensor. Though I am not sure why the software in the printer determines that there are duplicate cartridges instead of just a low ink warning.

You can also lightly lift the prongs that contact the chip that are inside the cartridge carrier wit a pair of needle nosed pliers, a needle or dressmaking pin, They do bend easily so be careful Then reseat the cartridge.

Ink and printer

You'll need to either put it back in or replace it.
You need to have both color and black cartridges in for your printer to work.
Never throw away cartridges, save money and refill them or you can take them to most any computer store for recycling.
