Alpine CDE 141 will not output to sub

Your description is not very clear but my guess is that the output from the RCA connector on the head unit (receiver) is low level and intended to be connected to an amplifier input. Apparently the 3.5 mm "jack" (plug) connects something to the RCA input of the amp and that works.

IPod connexion to Alpine CVA 1003R

Yes it can work. but you can only use the audio feature of your iPod and not the video. Try to look for a cable with RCA (red/white) connector and a stereo jack on the other end. Connect the RCA cable where the cd changer connects and the stereo jack to your iPod.

tape decks has a line out and line in RCA jack at the rear this is for the amplifier connection. line out should be connect to amplifier line in jack. Tape deck has also RCA jack input for Radio or Tuner, Phono, VCR, or CD, and Aux. You can input the audio out R&L to the selected input above.

Haveing trouble hearing sound when I have my IPod connected

You need a AI Net cable or Speed Cable... It plugs into the back of the radio (looks like a circle with holes), and the other end can have a "Y" plug (headphone jack and iPod flat jack). The headphone jack for sound, the flat jack to charge he iPod while listening. I just bought mine on Crutchfield.com for $29.99. With the discount code: 3A156 you can get standard shipping free. The item # is: 127ICALPA and it's named "PAC iPod Adapter for Alpine".

Want to know if I can use the line-level inputs from the CD Chgr

Your alpine unit is the old "M-BUS" the other adapter you are talking about is an "AI-BUS" adapter. (Hence the model numbers beginning with CD"M" or CD"A" ...)

Look for an Alpine M-Bus to RCA Input adapter.

heres one on eay for less than 10.00 including shipping.

RCA inputs bad

If you got the exact same ones, you should be able to simply pit them back into the same holes. if you did not get the same ones, look at the open holes, two should be connected together, and two are separate. Hook the two that are connected together to the ground part of the jacks, and the middle connections of the jack to the other two holes. if this does not make any since, send a picture of the jacks and the board so we can look at it for you. Good Luck
