SOURCE: Low voltage light flashing

I haven't worked on one of them in years but I looked at a breakdown and the parts are as I remember. Go to and under parts/service type in your model number and view the wiring diagram for an operational check procedure. I would first look at the cord and is the base sitting on 1/2 or greater plate steel. If rusted or painted you will loose some of the holding force. Also I don't know what motor you have but some of the larger units require a lot of amps to operate and it is possible that even though you plugged it in direct to wall the circuit wasn't sufficient to operate both units. Last resort call the tech dept. at Milwaukee and see if they have any ideas. That panel is a component part as you know and there were no replacement parts for it. Hope this helps if not let me know and I will do some more checking

SOURCE: I changed my macbook screen,

This could be a backlight issue, an inverter issue or a logic board issue. Look at the screen closely, if there is a faint image it's either a backlight issue or inverter issue. To weed out between the two you can just order on inverter, they're 20 bucks on ebay, if that doesn't work, replace the backlight. Maybe the new screen was not wrapped right when it was shipped, that can easily break the backlight bulb. make sure you connected the inverter to the white and pink wires correctly. Backlight repairs are somewhat difficult. As much as I would like to be able to tell you a quickfix that will solve backlight the problem, it's a pretty arduous repair that requires 1-2 hours for a trained person. It's feasible to do it yourself if you're tech savy, but you'll most likely have to google for guides that show you exactly how to replace the backlight step by step. I work for Mac Repair NYC and i have to fix this problem a lot, it's so easy to break the lightbulb in the process.

340v should be on power pwb plug PL on the 1 and
5 (GND) pins for the ballast. and the ballast plug CN should also have the 340V with pin 1 of that plug being GND nd pin 3 should have the 340V If the PL plug on the power board is low the power pwb has a problem most likely the doubler circuit. If CN plug voltage is high say 360V the ballast is suspect.

Disclaimer: The answer provided is entended for you to have some basic electronic knowledge and soldering skills.

Troubleshooting switching power supplies just sucks, but there are ways of finding the fautly componets. In my case, a visual inspection found 2 bad capitors, the tops bulging open and oosing goo. If you look at the tops of any other caps they should be flat. You can also note faulty caps by discoloration of the circiut board itself. I had one other faulty cap on my supply that, by visual inspection had been running hot. After replacing the defective caps (Nichicon 105c) I went with an ohm meter, and checked the smaller transistors for faults. Q1 a very common transistor was bad (2N3906) with a base emitter short. In conclusion, it's the cheap caps that are at fault, sometimes taking the silicon with them as they short out. The unit is now working.
As an added note, I understand that there is a Radio Shack branded version of the HD3150 as well.

I have an LG 42 TV that powers up and only shows black screen.

Chances are you have some open LED's, if one opens the entire strip will go out as they are wired in series and the power supply is shutting down the LED circuitry due to improper current or voltage

I have a Samsung UN46EH5000FXZC LED TV. When I turn it on the power LED flashes 6 times. There is sound and no backlight. It passes the flashlight test. I've swapped out the power supply board to no avail....

Take off the back and check the high voltage circuit - should be 390 volts and.higher. There is a check on the voltage by the power board and without high voltage the TV will shutdown. The high voltage circuit is maintain by one or two capacitors. If the capacitor is too old then the TV is shutdown. Get a meter and check the DC voltage across the capacitor.

Issue: No backlight on tv, If i shine a flashlight I can see the image in the background with audio heard. I changed the tcon board, but that did not fix the issue.

Suspected LED failure in the strips. But first, remove the LED board plug to the LED's and test the output voltage. It should be between 40-50vdc. LED's are connected in series (daisy chained) so if one fails or shorts out, then the rest will also not illuminate. Do a diode test with test meter (set to diode) on the LED connectors TO the LED's. If you get a short cicruit acrosss any of the led strips wiht the diode test mod, then reverse the leads on the meter. If the short goes awy, then tht is fine. If it is still there, then you have a short cicuit LED. You can replace them with either Samsung parts if you're lucky enough, or else remove them all and fit your own LED white adhesive strip lighting (LED's on reel). Make enough for 40-50v and then tap that into the board connector for the original LED's. That should bring the illumintion back on.

Power board and back lights led tv

BL Inverter board fault. It's not working [oscillating]. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

Audio is fine. Why did picture suddenly go black?

The board that controls the back light for the screen is called an inverter board. Sometimes, depending on the model , the inverter is combined with the power supply board. Go here to find the parts

Hello, Our Sony TV KV28WF1B switches off automatically, and the led blinks twice. If you cut of the power for at least 5 hours then TV starts again. Somebody any idea what this is, is it easy to...

It sounds like a power supply problem. You need to check the capacitors on the power supply pcb. This is the board with the power cord connected to. If they are puffed up, you will need to replace the capacitors with equal or slightly higher values. The values are in mfd and voltage. It is printed on the caps. You will need to remove the back to get access to the pcb. To do this you need to lay the tv face down on a flat surface preferably on a table with a blanket for cushion. You need a table big enough to support the whole tv by the frame. This is to prevent damage to the panel. Then you need to remove all the screws securing the back to the frame. Give it a visual check and if the caps look good, then you need to check the voltage level on the outputs. These are printed next to about three connectors on the pcb in the same general area. If the voltage levels aren't there, check to see if you have standby boltage anywhere on the connectors, which should be 5VDC. You will need a multimeter for this. Connect the black lead to chassis ground and use the red lead to test for the voltage levels. If you have 5VDC anywhere, check a voltage output by placing the red lead on it and powering up the machine. If you have a momentary voltage value equal to the pin on the connector, then suspect the main board.
