What does fault code ef52 on Miele km5733 mean

Heater pressure switch has reset during heating The program continues from the wash block in which the fault is registered without the heating being activated. The fault will only be indicated when the fault code memory is checked in the service mode.

Cause:
Excess quantity of detergent or rinse aid dispensed. Excess foam has developed.

Remedy:
Check the dispensed quantities of detergent and rinse aid. Follow the information given in the operating instructions.

Note:
A check should also be made to ensure that the type of detergent used matches the setting. When, for example, combination products (2-in-1 or 3-in-1 tablets) are used but the corresponding parameter has been set to Normal, rinse aid will be dispensed twice.

Cause:
Heater pressure switch defective.

Remedy:
Replace the heater pressure switch.

Cause:
Pump pressure too low.

Remedy:
Clean the circulation pump and remove any foreign objects that may be present.

Cause:
An item has tipped over and a large quantity of water is retained, e.g., in a bowl, and is then not available for the wash water circuit. This reduces the pump pressure.

Remedy:
Follow the loading information given in the operating instructions.

Water dispenser stopped working. Water valve works

A major problem with the ge side by side refrigerators with metal liners is water freeze-up inside the door of the freezer. Short term repair is to heat the dispenser area CAREFULLY with a hair dryer right at the point where the water spout comes out.
The long term fix involves installing a heater in the dispenser part number wr49x10173 @$60. The kit comes with installation instructions..
Let me know if you have any questions!!
Good luck!

The water dispenser and ice cube maker stopped working

Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws. Covering the opening with a blanket will prevent the loss of cold in the freezer. . GE makes a heater that will prevent this from happening again. The part number for this heater is WR49X10173.

disconnect the line to the water dispenser at the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in and try the dispenser. if you hear the valve work but water doesn't come out, the valve is bad. If you don't hear the valve, the dispenser switch is bad

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. It’s on the back where the water supply comes in. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze blocking the fill tube.. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

A strainer before the inlet valve can also get stopped up restricting flow.

Icemaker/water dispenser not working.

Just had to defrost the water tank inside the fridge for a few minutes. Using a waterproof heating pad with extension cord did the trick. Even a fridge needs a warm blanket from time to time.

GE refrig/freezer dispenser makes ice, but no dispensing of water

The dispensor water line , is probably trying to freeze , inside the door . raise the freezer control slightly warmer , to keep this from happening . May take 2 or 3 raisings to find the proper temp . Also , you can order a dispensor heat kit , pt # WR49X10173 , which comes with installation instructions .

Model YLR2-5-90HZ3 cold/hot/water dispnser with fridge won't heat

I have the YLR2-5-96H2 and hot water stopped heating up. I unscrewed the casing and unplugged the connections to the circular heating element and 2 circular probes. Brushed off the white dust build up on the probes and it started to heat water again. I ruled out faulty heating element, because it got really hot just seconds after turning on the hot water switch.
