Kenmore vacuum model 25614 power mate will not reset

1)see your instruction manual, and follow the steps download your i.manual from www.fitness.manualsonline.com or www. retrevo.com
2) You must unplugged the power cord, and dissasembley according with your instr.manual.
3) use wrist attached with ground, for to avoid E.Discharge.

If unit beater has stopped working it is either the motor, the power connection to beater or the belt that powers the roller. Which is it?

See if you can download the manual from the mfg or google for it.

Remove the wand from the telescoping pole, and look at the two holes in the wand where the electrical connection is made between the wand and the pole. You may see corrosion, which will cause the connection to be flaky and the power assist to surge on and off.

In any case, a good bet is that the wire harness in the wand needs replacing. It's about $15. (P/N KC37GBZTZV06) You'll have to take the wand apart - 3 screws and some judicious prying - to replace it.

I wasn't able to find the manual for the Kenmore model, however I did find the instruction manual for the corresponding Panasonic canister vacuum cleaner. Your particular Kenmore model is actually made by Panasonic for Sears, and then Sears puts the Kenmore name on the vacuum cleaner. They are identical internally, and have the same parts and components, besides the filter that is behind the bag. Sears makes Panasonic put a specially designed filter in the Kenmore's so that the customer has to go back and purchase that filter from Sears.

It sounds as though you have a bad switch.

check the reset button or the wire that goes into the powermate sometimes it frays and breaks

Have you checked and made sure that the hose is COMPLETELY clear and the bag is not full?

Power switch needs replacement

I am getting suction to the power mate, but the mate doesn't
work. The belt seem fine, but the light and beater doesen.t
go on. Tried the reset - no result. Thanks
