Turns out to be the = key. I just double-checked it and it's true.
Do a calculation like 10 divided by 2. Every time you enter a number and then hit the equal key, it will be divided by 2.
Press the Date and Time button on the calculator. It is to the right of the Feed button and has a small calendar and clock on it. To set the date, press the button once to display the factory supplied date and hold down the Equal ( = ) button that is two buttons below Date and Time until the screen flashes. Input the correct date. Ex: August 20, 2010 would be entered on the numerical keyboard of the calculator at 08202010. When finished, hold the Equal button again. Do the same for the time.
To sum it up:
Press Date and Time button
Hold = button until blinks
Enter date or time
Hold = button again until blinking stops
When you have Print function on and the total you want printed on the screen, simply press the button that looks like a pound sign ( # ). This will print whatever is on the screen.
How to do constant multiplication or division on the Canon P170-DH calculator
This process actually requires fewer keystrokes than other calculators. Basically, just do the first problem and then do the next items with just the next number and the EQUAL key. For example,
*** Constant Multiplication *** 2 (multiply key) 10 (= key) (The answer 20 shows on the screen. Note, the 2 is still stored as a constant without doing anything, just continue) 4 = (shows the answer 8 on the screen) 20 = (shows the answer 40 on the screen) 100 = (shows the answer 200 on the screen)
*** Constant Division *** 10 (divided by key) 2 = (shows the answer 5 on the screen, the 2 is still stored as a constant without doing anything, just continue) 100 = (shows the answer 50 on the screen) 500 = (shows the answer 250 on the screen) 4 = (shows the answer 2 on the screen)
The manual for the Canon P170-DH calculator is found on the canon usa web site. It is 22 mg in size, but prints out to 4 pages in English, Spanish and French.
According to the manual: Use only Ink Roller CP-13.
There are four figures showing the steps, so you'll have to imagine it.
1. Turn power switch off.
2. Remove the printer cover (Figure1).
3. Hold the tab of the ink roller. Lift the ink roller out of the base (Figure2).
4. Insert the new ink roller into position. Push down on the center of the ink roller until it locks into place (Figure3).
5. Replace the printer cover (Figure4).
Print out the manual for yourself and put it in a safe place.
I had one that did that. equals turned out to be for multiplying and dividing . try to hit plus( + ) sign again instead of equal for the solution.
hope that helps
