There is a screw down foot in front of each forward wheel under the fridge. You can access this by looking under the front corners.

SOURCE: Freezer door handle loose

u could always set the handle in place where it needs to be and use caulk or super glue to go around the handle and that should help it stay in place if that doesnt work the website www.amana.com to see if it has warranty for the broken handle good luck

SOURCE: brand new french door maytag refrigerator makes a loud knocking sound off and on all day. Is that normal ?

im sorry to tell you, but the sound is probobly normal.
fridges these days make some weird noises.
they started making noises when they changed the gas to R34a.
you may be able to get a noise ruduction kit for your model. they are not too fun to install

SOURCE: Refrigerator knocking noise

If it seems to be coming from underneath the unit it could be the compressor. Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} That's usually mounts inside the compressor. Usually when the compressor cuts off. It could still last awhile so if you can put up with the noise just wait for it to quit before replacing the compressor or getting a new fridge.
Any other noise would be from a fan. One in the freezer behind the back panel and one under the unit where the compressor is.

Cold air is blowing out from behind the fridge on the ice maker side of my french door styl fridge. Is this normal

Good Afternoon Sharon Poirier, thank you for your post!
I understand that cold air is blowing from behind your Electrolux refrigerator on the side your icemaker is on. From what you are describing it sounds like a loose seal or missing plug. I would recommend having a professional technician out to your home to thoroughly look over your refrigerator. This will help to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

Electrolux french door w/freezer in bottom stops making ice.have turned it off overnight but it will not start bsck. what can I do , I have used hair dryer to thaw it and that worked several times but...

You failed to give a model# so I can refer to which bottom freezer you have..

Electrolux can be a tricky product to work on and I do not know if you have the icemaker solely in the freezer, or if you have the icemaker in the refrigerator section with ice and water in the door. Or if you have two icemakers as some of them now have because the one in the fridge breaks so much.

Hair dryers are a bad idea no matter how you look at it.. Many times, I have gone to do a repair and found disfigured plastic parts due to the customer trying to fix it themselves off a youtube video. The plastic they use is good in the cold but becomes very pliable when heated and tends to distort easily.

So... If it is the one in the bottom (freezer section) then it could fall under a service flash regarding interior moisture building up around the evap fan blades. Or it could be a bad water valve depending on what it is that you are thawing out..

If it is for the icemaker in the refrigerator section then there has been numerous fixes for this with the most current being part # 5303918784 which also addresses interior moisture.

I have also found that the defrost heater for the icemaker evaporator goes bad for the icemaker in the refrigerator section and have replaced quite a few lately.

If you need more help, please give more information specifically the model#.

check to make sure that your fill tube is not blocked with frozen water.

How do you change the ice cube setting on the 25cf LG French Door bottom freezer? I cannot see anywere in the manual where it indicates where you change this setting?!

The icemaker requires a water pressure of 1.5 - 8.5kgf/cm2. It is acceptable if the water supply fills a cup of 180cc with water in 3 seconds. The icemaker produces small cubes if the water fed into it is not enough and lumped together if too much water is supplied. In order to obtain the desired size of ice cubes, the amount of water supplied to the ice maker needs to be adjusted. Adjust the valve supplying water to the icemaker or the unit in general in such a way that right amount of water fills the ice tray.
