How do I register my flash drive - Computers & Internet

As the pen drive works fine on your laptop there is no problem with you pen drive the problem is with PC, Formating the PC might solve the problem

You have to reformat the flash drive. Right click on the drive properties and click reformat. It will erase everything on it. But fixes most problems with flash drives.

You do NOT have to "Activate" your drive. It should work by simply plugging into any USB port, it should be automatically detected and installed, as a "Drive" and then it can be used as such, Cut, Copy, Paste. etc.

This one is just a hunch. The drive might be bad but this is worth a try. Its possible the drive letter somehow changed on the flashdrive. Plug in the drive, RIGHT click on "My Computer" and select "Manage" from the drop down menu. Now select "Disk Management" from the list. If you see your flash drive on the list, right click on it and select "Change drive letter and paths", then click on "change", now assign it a new letter like "F" for example. Click ok, ok, ok. If it showed up the the list and it's still not registering, unplug it and plug it back in. Hope that helps.

the speedo/odometer are computer controlled by the BCM (body control module) and you may need to have The PCM re-flashed !

Most likely, i think you might have a bad flash drive, or the drivers has been corrupted. Try cleaning your system drivers and use a program like DriverMax. It is free, just register and download the program, then, clear all your drivers and put in the flash drive again.

See if it works.

Some times if a flash drive is not ejected, if it is just pulled out, it can wipe all information. I learnt the hard way, make sure you eject each time.  Sorry if this is already known, some times it can be hidden if the file attributes  have been set to hidden. Try looking in you view option and see if they are set to hide files set to hidden.

u can find it the driver at fixya browse manufacturer..
before u find it,u must register member as www.fixya.com

its free..

if u use the winxp

the flash drive will automaticlly detect on your computer,,
