Question about Cell Phones
First try disconnecting the unit, completely from any power, for an hour or more, look in any control doors or access points for a small battery mounted to a board or in a holder, if you find one, take it out also, noting the positive and negative orientation.
If that doesn't do it, there are reset buttons under the tops or lids of some NEFF models, if there is an obvious lid after trying the no power trick, take off the top and look for a stand alone reset button.
If all that fails, write me back

It sounds like the flash did not finish or hung while trying, I would
think that you just bricked the phone. I have never heard of this
test mode of the board, you normally use the keypad on the phone
to enter it into test mode. If the phone does not post, I have never
heard of a way to get it to reflash.
Maybe someone will come along that knows a way.

Check for a "jammed" button. They use a little rubber membrane behind buttons and over time they do wear out. It is possible to push a button on the corner, make it shift enough to jam behind the faceplate & hard to see. Just push the button and see if it pops back like the rest of the buttons on the unit. If it still has a problem, post a comment and I will help you some more. Hope this helps
