SOURCE: hi my name is christian

Hi Christian, if your scanner was manufactured before February 2010 it may not be able to communicate directly with 123Scan2 so you wont be able to upgrade firmware with the program, but you will still be able to use it to create configuration sheets. These are the only two uses for 123Scan2.

To create a configuration sheet without "finding" the scanner click Create New Configuration then choose My scanner is NOT connected. Select the LS2208 and click on the blue firmware button to get into the configuration. When you have completed your configuration click the Print bar codes selection at the top of the window and when the file comes up be sure to click on the Bar code formatting menu and change the Bar code type to 1D One setting per barcode if it is not already there. Older scanners will not work with concatenated 1D barcodes where 123Scan2 puts more than one setting into a barcode.

Ihave on bartender barcode printer. it is not printing any thng. ant thing from pc if we are doing Self Test then it is writting 4-5 lines in unknown language and going to stop suddenly. So pls...

Dear Mr.anil279,
Try these things,
1) Re-start Bartender S/w and Printer Main Power and also the system
2) try now if not check, the printer status, you can find this on the taskbar near the system time, check whether the printing is in queue or in cancelled state.
sometimes if any print out get jammed, it will just keep on adding the print jobs to the queue.
if so, delete the jammed job and try again,
3) Mention your printer model no, we shall provide you a video or steps to calibrate your printer.

Zebra 105SE printer will print text and images just fine, but will not print bar codes from any software including Bartender or TechnoRiverStudio. If i export the label as an image I can print it just...

Bartender is a pretty good label software package - strange that you're having problems with a barcode. Are you by any chance trying to print a 2D barcode such as Datamatrix ? If that's true, then the problem is that the datamatrix barcode is not a resident barcode in the firmware version of that printer which is an older model. There should be a choice in bartender, in the properties of the barcode field that allows you to send the barcode as an image or graphic. The barcode will then print.

If you're trying to print a linear barcode (C39 or C128 or UPC for example) and it they won't print with the steps you have taken, then something is definetly wrong. Another option would be to take your label format and print-to-file instead of print-to-printer. There should be an option on the print screen for this. By then opening the file, the ZPL (Zebra's programming language) can then be examined to see exactly what is being sent to the printer.

Hope this helps !

Gaps in barcode with Zebra S4M

By gaps, do you mean a "void" area ? Over time, the elements on the printhead will wear down and finally they won't transfer heat to the ribbon. This causes a gap or void area. Usually the elements go out one or two at a time. If the area that is worn out is supposed to be printing bars for the barcode, this will cause the scanning problem you are experiencing.

The best way to see if elements are worn out is to design a label that has a thick solid black line across the label or a solid black box. You will see white vertical lines in the areas where elements are worn out. Another method would be to use the widest and longest label you have and print a 'pause" test label. This is done by turning off the printer, pressing and holding on the PAUSE key while turning on the printer. Hold the pause key for 10-15 seconds and when the printer is done with it's power on self test, it will start printing out a test pattern label which includes a nice black area where you can look for the white vertical lines.

Hope that helps !

To isolate the exact cause of this issue please print a self test page and check whether the same issuse persists.

Print Self test page:
Please click here and follow the instructions to print a self test page.

If test page is not printed properly then clean cartridge contacts and nozzles.

Hi my mp530 printer, has a barcode like pattern

Try removing the printer from installed printers in Windows, and reinstalling the driver. Also test a different USB cable.
If the problem persists, test the printer on a different computer, if it still does the ssame, then the printer has a faulty logic board.

How can I speed up printing?

First check if you are able to print self test page faster or at the same speed.
If you are able to print self test page faster than you need to check for drivers and incase if self test page is at the same speed than you can try upgrading firmware of the printer.
As you havn't mentioned the exact speed i cannot confirmed whether printer will speed up or not.
If the printer is already printing at the designed speed than upgrading the firmware will not help.
However upgrading the firmware is always advisable.
Please upgrade the firmware using the link below :

Slow Printing

Hi, The slow printing issue can occure even if the cartridges are out or low in ink try to check the print function by the stand alone unit by printing a self test page Here are the steps to print a self test page: On the front panel of the product, press Menu (or Setup) . Press the Right Arrow until Print Reports displays, and then press Enter, Start, or OK . Press the Right Arrow until Self-Test Report displays, and then press Enter, Start, or OK . If the self test page takes less time to print and if all the color blocks and black block print fine the ink level are fine. if the time for self test is also more try to clean the cartridge contacts and replace the cartridges if needed this will fix the issue. If the printer works fine as stand alone self test and copy try to performe the steps in the below webpage: ========== ========== If the issue is still un fixed try to set the print directly settings in the printer properties Click on start >> control panel >> printer and faxes >> there look for the HP printer icon with the check mark and right click on it and select properties and then click on advance tab and under it select the print directly to printer and click on apply and ok to save the settings. Once done try to print and check with the issue. Hope this will fix the issue. Regards, Barret.
